This program helps you to develop and further your career in public health practice, research and/or management. It allows you to re-orient your work interests in health to disease prevention and health promotion and is widely recognised both nationally and internationally as the public health credential for careers in public health.

The program focuses on the socio-ecological model of public health that emphasises and analyses the important interactions between the social, biological, economic and environmental determinants of health. They enable you to apply this analytical skill set to plan, implement and evaluate population based interventions that protect and promote health.

The program has a strong focus on global health and provides you with the opportunity to focus your public health studies by selecting from a range of electives in areas such as public health nutrition, health promotion, climate change, international health, environmental health, and health services management.

This is a GRADUATE ENTRY degree. It offers graduates, who have previously completed a non-law degree or higher providing it is equivalent to a minimum of 1.5 years fulltime study and achieved a GPA of 4.0 or higher, direct entry into law at Griffith University. You'll join a law school dedicated to social justice and learn from award-winning teachers and researchers who are challenging the status quo and creating new legal knowledge, models and processes. As a student, you'll learn through hands-on experiences from year one. You'll make connections between law and ethics, legal theory, Indigenous issues, and internationalisation. You will be offered a marine industry placement, through the Industry Affiliates Program and/or a capstone experience that will expose you to professional activities in fisheries, aquaculture, marine conservation, coastal management and/or coastal engineering.

In your first year, you will take core courses that provide the necessary foundations in the basic sciences. In second and third years, you focus on your chosen area of specialisation.

Majors

Visual Communication Design
Explore many different forms of visual and graphic communication and branding, and understand the social contexts and environmental responsibilities of design. You'll learn to develop design solutions, which inform, persuade, provoke, or entertain your audience. You’ll focus on your passion, but also learn how to effectively present and communicate your ideas within this evolving industry.

Interior and Spatial Design
The interior and spatial design major prepares students for a professional career across a broad spectrum of interior and spatial fields, including residential, commercial, exhibition, installation, theatre and event design.

The major prepares students to focus on diverse spaces and societies that creatively imagines interiors and public urban spaces in every domain and on every scale, from private to public, local to global. With an emphasis on social and environmental justice, designing for sustainability, liveability, diversity and inclusion are core to theory and practice. Students acquire a broad foundation of technical skills across a range of architectural and digital design programs, as well as engaging in theoretical knowledge, design process skills and analysis and critical thought. In the studios, students work on real projects preparing them for all interior and spatial design aspects inherent in professional practice.

Product Design
Can’t wait to get your hands on a 3D printer? The equipment and technology you have the chance to use at Griffith is state-of-the art and this means there are very few limits to what you can create. Undertake a range of creative projects and put our technology to the test, using 3D printing, 3D modelling, 3D scanning, laser cutting and CNC routing equipment.

Science is at the heart of every part of life. It is a fascinating career choice, with research and development at its core. In this degree you'll study all areas of the sciences before specialising with your choice of major. You'll have the flexibility to decide what interests you the most, so you can shape a career that you're passionate about in the biological, clinical, chemical, physical or mathematical sciences.

You will learn the theory and practice of teaching, as well as about the characteristics of learners and teachers and the social contexts of education. The degree includes education studies, curriculum studies in two nominated teaching areas, and professional experience in secondary school settings.
