In your final year you will complete an independent research project under the supervision of an academic staff member. The Honours program is a critical element for students seeking a direct pathway into research, academia and employment in many consulting and government organisations who prioritise the employment of honours graduates.

The study of nutrition and dietetics focuses on the food we eat in relation to the treatment and prevention of a range of important diseases. Students in this program will initially study fundamental health sciences (e.g. anatomy, physiology, biochemistry) before completing more advanced study of human nutrition. The final stage of the program involves practicum placements in hospitals and other health facilities. This program prepares students at the appropriate tertiary level to meet Dietitians Australia, national competency standards for entry into the profession as a dietitian. Students who graduate from this program will be able establish careers in either clinical, public health or food service nutrition. Increased graduate opportunities exist for private practitioners with the recent introduction of Medicare items for services provided to patients with chronic disease and within the corporate nutrition sector.

As factories and other engineering environments transform into an industrial Internet of Things, the ability to analyse vast quantities of data to extract relevant intelligence is an increasingly and highly sought-after skill.

Data science provides a broad knowledge of the exploration, gathering, manipulation, visualisation, automation and interpretation of data using digital platforms and can be applied to enable real-time performance optimisation.

This double degree will enable you to provide data-based insights based on your specific expertise in engineering, to improve decision-making, reduce costs and increase efficiencies.

This degree sits within the discipline of Architecture, Design and Planning and many of the core courses sit within the discipline of Mechanical Engineering. Visual Communication Design
Explore many different forms of visual and graphic communication and branding, and understand the social contexts and environmental responsibilities of design. You'll learn to develop design solutions, which inform, persuade, provoke, or entertain your audience. You’ll focus on your passion, but also learn how to effectively present and communicate your ideas within this evolving industry.

Interior and Spatial Design
The interior and spatial design major prepares students for a professional career across a broad spectrum of interior and spatial fields, including residential, commercial, exhibition, installation, theatre and event design.

The major prepares students to focus on diverse spaces and societies that creatively imagines interiors and public urban spaces in every domain and on every scale, from private to public, local to global. With an emphasis on social and environmental justice, designing for sustainability, liveability, diversity and inclusion are core to theory and practice. Students acquire a broad foundation of technical skills across a range of architectural and digital design programs, as well as engaging in theoretical knowledge, design process skills and analysis and critical thought. In the studios, students work on real projects preparing them for all interior and spatial design aspects inherent in professional practice.

Product Design
Can’t wait to get your hands on a 3D printer? The equipment and technology you have the chance to use at Griffith is state-of-the art and this means there are very few limits to what you can create. Undertake a range of creative projects and put our technology to the test, using 3D printing, 3D modelling, 3D scanning, laser cutting and CNC routing equipment.

The Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) is designed to deliver a thorough understanding of the complex concepts facing organisations today whilst allowing customisation toward the business skill of your choice. This new degree takes you through a unique skill set that will give you a competitive edge in the employment market. The Master of Visual Arts degree is suited to both artists who want to deepen their understanding of the contemporary art world, as well as graduates who are changing disciplines and want to pursue and expand their artistic and creative capabilities.

You will extend on and refine your visual literacy skills and your ability to critically analyse artworks and understand key concepts in contemporary visual art. The degree encourages you to explore ideas in contemporary visual culture and develop your studio art practice so you can produce a significant body of work for exhibition.
