This is a GRADUATE ENTRY degree. It offers graduates, who have previously completed a non-law degree or higher providing it is equivalent to a minimum of 1.5 years fulltime study and achieved a GPA of 4.0 or higher, direct entry into law at Griffith University. As a student, you'll learn through hands-on experiences from year one. You'll make connections between law and ethics, legal theory, Indigenous issues, and internationalisation. A double degree combining the Bachelor of Government and International Relations with the Bachelor of Communication and Journalism will produce media professionals with the knowledge and understanding to work effectively within local, national and international political context either as journalists, political strategists or media advisors. Through a sophisticated understanding of communication, graduates will be equipped to better navigate the complexity of the global communication network and the diverse communities and stakeholders therein. It will combine specialist training in essential aspects of contemporary media management including the production of key messages, news writing, desktop publishing and social media communication with a deep understanding of public policy making, government, political campaigning and international advocacy. Graduates will be competitive in a range of sectors including government, business and the not for profit sectors.

This double degree is suitable for students who aspire to own and run their own IT business. Students develop an in-depth understanding of business, and technical proficiency in creating, using, and integrating new information technologies. The Master of Professional Engineering is for aspiring engineers who want to obtain accredited qualifications to practise as an engineer in Australia and overseas, or for existing professional engineers to move into a different field of engineering. The program focuses on the knowledge and skills required to design solutions and manage engineering projects in a holistic way. For those from a science, environmental science or computing background who want to change careers to become an engineer, the Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science provides a pathway to the Master of Professional Engineering.

The Master of Visual Arts degree is suited to both artists who want to deepen their understanding of the contemporary art world, as well as graduates who are changing disciplines and want to pursue and expand their artistic and creative capabilities.

You will extend on and refine your visual literacy skills and your ability to critically analyse artworks and understand key concepts in contemporary visual art. The degree encourages you to explore ideas in contemporary visual culture and develop your studio art practice so you can produce a significant body of work for exhibition.

By joining a community of expert art practitioners you will be encouraged to experiment and stretch the boundaries of innovation across a broad range of media, including drawing, jewellery, painting, photography, print-making and sculpture.

This double degree enables students to combine business management skills with a studio major, developing core competencies such as critical and analytical thinking, business communication and decision-making.

The Design program prepares graduates for diverse professional practice as designers through practical and theoretical learning. The first year focuses on the development of manual and technological skills, design thinking, problem-defining and solving. Students will gain an understanding of the changing role of design and how they can become leaders in the industry. In the following years, students work on industry-related and research projects and specialise in selected studio areas.

Graduates are skilled in creative design and software application and are able to effectively and efficiently manage creative ventures from a business perspective.

To be awarded a Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) degree, one additional year of study is required following the successful completion of the Bachelor of Nursing.

In the criminology and criminal justice component, you'll learn about the causes of crime and how society responds to them through the justice system.

Your study will include courses about policing, working with offenders and victims, and analysing and preventing crimes. You'll hear from academic and professional experts about how crime can be prevented and reduced.

You'll also undertake a range of courses to prepare you as a human services practitioner to create a more socially just world.  

You'll receive plenty of hands-on experience in your final year of study. Within a genuine human services environment, you'll put theory into practice in a supervised setting. This experience will enhance your skills in the workplace and get you ready to graduate job-ready.

Developed in close consultation with industry, the Bachelor of Communication and Journalism will produce communication specialists who understand the diversity and complexity of the contemporary communication and media landscape and are able to thrive within it.
