Sport management

Sport is an essential feature of Australian culture and is an important part of modern society. Our sport management industry is diverse, from managing grass roots sporting clubs and community organisations through to our elite sporting competitions, like the AFL or NRL. The sport manager  will have a strong background in both sport and business management.

The Sport Management major offered by the La Trobe Business School provides you with the business and management skills that you need to meet the demands of the growing sport industry including facilitating participation in sport, overseeing sport facilities and venues, sport marketing and revenue generation. You develop both your theoretical knowledge and applied management skills that directly impact the success of sporting codes, competitions, organisations, teams, individuals, and facilities. La Trobe's Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Industrial) gives you a comprehensive engineering and business skillset, while building your ability to think critically and creatively. You'll discover how to respond to the evolving needs of employers and help them adapt to future challenges.

Begin by learning the fundamentals of industrial engineering, from math, and physics to design and problem solving. You'll then gain sought-after skills in fields that are presently transforming the business landscape, including automation and robotics, advanced material, simulation and modelling of manufacturing processes.

Every stage of our Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Industrial) equips you for your future career. You have the option to exit after your first year with a Diploma of Engineering Technology or after your second year with an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology. Our engineering graduates are highly employable and graduate with the adaptable skills to work in vital areas such as aerospace and defence, manufacturing, renewable energy, food and agriculture, mining, and electronics.

Build a career helping others with La Trobe's Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours). Develop your professional practice at Australia's largest rural health school and be ready to practice after just five years in this accredited Honours degree.

Understand the foundations of dental science and get hands-on experience in clinical placements across regional Victoria. You'll treat patients under the supervision of experienced clinicians and work to improve oral health through prevention, education and clinical care.

If you'd like to explore further research and develop a specialisation, you can also complete a community-based project or research project, which can lead to a doctorate.

Preclinical oral health
