Biotechnology

Biotechnology uses biological systems to create products and services, ranging from medical diagnostics to genetic engineering. Build your biology knowledge, tackle scientific problems with the power of computing and apply business concepts in biotechnology settings.

The Master of Teaching (Primary) builds preservice teacher knowledge and skills to teach across the curriculum. There is an emphasis on researching teacher practice in numeracy and literacy.

Combining the fields of biology and medical science, you'll open doors to careers across high-demand sectors including education, healthcare, media and research.

In your first year, develop fundamental knowledge in areas across chemistry, bioscience and health, with an additional focus on psychology and how to work with individuals in health and human services settings.

Build a career helping others with La Trobe's Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours). Develop your professional practice at Australia's largest rural health school and be ready to practice after just five years in this accredited Honours degree.

Understand the foundations of dental science and get hands-on experience in clinical placements across regional Victoria. You'll treat patients under the supervision of experienced clinicians and work to improve oral health through prevention, education and clinical care.

If you'd like to explore further research and develop a specialisation, you can also complete a community-based project or research project, which can lead to a doctorate.

Preclinical oral health
