Journalism (Major)
The Journalism major provides you with an understanding of how communication works with real-world experience in broadcast, print and online journalism. You will develop journalistic skills for newspapers, magazines, internet, radio, television, corporate and community media contexts, and come to understand news team culture and management.

The Professional Careers Subjects will help to shape your career in one of three core business areas: Money, Markets or Management. Applied Finance (Major)
The Applied Finance major will enable you to develop in-depth knowledge of finance with a focus on investment and securities, economics, and banking and finance. The core subjects will provide a foundation of business knowledge and develop your skills in innovation, career planning, and numeracy.

The Bachelor of Engineering Science is offered as an entry program to a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours). It is also offered as a three-year exit course for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).

The course structure, core subjects and electives are similar to the first three years of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) course. The Bachelor of Engineering Science is offered with key programs in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering (Major)
The mechanical engineering program covers the design of mechanical systems for a wide range of applications, including manufacturing, transportation and energy conversion.
The course delivers fundamental engineering principles, as well as an intensive hands-on laboratory program to provide the skills necessary for the design of machines, ensuring their functionality, safety and reliability.
