The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree covers major engineering domains, including civil, electrical and mechanical. Civil Engineering (Major)
The Civil Engineering program covers the fields of structural design, geotechnical engineering and water engineering, together with infrastructure design and environmental engineering.

Information Systems are becoming integral to modern culture and are a primary engine behind much of the world’s economic and social change. Today, to implement technology, practising professionals need to understand the context in which computer technology can best be selected, applied and implemented.

Mobile Computing (Major)
The Mobile Computing major covers theories and technologies used for the development of distributed applications for hand-held mobile devices. You will understand the advanced principles related to mobile hardware devices, data storage and transmission, and communication networks. In addition you will identify, analyse, and formulate solutions to real-world problems in the mobile domain.

The Bachelor of Engineering Science is offered as an entry program to a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours). It is also offered as a three-year exit course for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).

The course structure, core subjects and electives are similar to the first three years of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) course. The Bachelor of Engineering Science is offered with key programs in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering (Major)
The mechanical engineering program covers the design of mechanical systems for a wide range of applications, including manufacturing, transportation and energy conversion.
The course delivers fundamental engineering principles, as well as an intensive hands-on laboratory program to provide the skills necessary for the design of machines, ensuring their functionality, safety and reliability.

The Bachelor of Communication program covers all areas of creative communication, enabling you to understand how your field of study is connected to other disciplines. Through self-directed, team and problem-based learning strategies that require active participation in the community, you will learn to value ethical conduct, intellectual integrity, diversity and social justice principles.

Advertising (Major)
Advertising is a dynamic and diverse profession, encompassing all forms of media from billboards, television and newspapers to internet search engines.
This major will give you a thorough grounding in general principles of communication, as well as practical skills in advertising through internship placements and project-based learning.

The Professional Careers Subjects will help to shape your career in one of three core business areas: Money, Markets or Management. The degree provides flexibility to choose a variety of non-business subjects in order to gain depth and perspective on your enterprise future.

International Business (Major)
The International Business major equips graduates with detailed knowledge of the international dimension of business and the necessary understanding of the workings of the market system. Building on a solid foundation in domestic business education, including global sustainability, international business strategy, managing in a global environment, and international marketing. The major enables graduates to develop an understanding of business internationally and to exploit business opportunities within the corporate context.

You will build a comprehensive foundation of health sciences knowledge and study one or two specialisations in Health Promotion, Health Services Management, Therapeutic Recreation or Public Health.

Public Health (Major)
The Public Health specialisation prepares you for roles that evaluate and improve population health, including the prevention and monitoring of disease, the design and implementation of health awareness campaigns, and finding health solutions for disadvantaged communities. Public Health professionals are required to assess and respond to emerging public health issues.

You don’t need to have studied business before, or have relevant work experience – we start from the basics and build your business knowledge through the course.

The MBA has two optional specialisations, Finance or Management, or you can choose to study a non-specialised MBA.

• Finance - This specialisation introduces the fundamental concepts of finance theory – the time value of money, risk and return, capital budgeting and capital structure, and the tools of financial decision-making in the context of the Australian institutional environment. You will examine the investment, financing and dividend decisions of corporations and develop an understanding of the basic practices of financial management from the perspective of both large and small firms.

You will have the opportunity to complete either a business internship or a business project unit, applying the knowledge you have gained during the course of your degree.
