The Associate Degree uniquely connects students with paid internships through Mulpha 5-star properties with a course that combines a rigorous academic curriculum with a unique integrated learning experience. Students are exposed to practical knowledge in both front and back of house through units of study in food and beverage operations, accommodations operations, and finance. Students will have access to 880 hours of paid internships and be eligible for entry into the three-year Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management at The Hotel School with a two-year credit. Flexibility allows for coursework to be completed across any of our campuses.

Delivered at The Hotel School, a unique partnership between Mulpha Australia and Southern Cross University. This course covers theory and practices within the industry, finance, management and communication as well as food, beverage and accommodation operations.

The three-year Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management focuses on hotel operational skills, management practices in hospitality industries and the skills needed for employment in a competitive, changing, global business environment. This Southern Cross University degree combines academic rigour with contemporary hotel practice.

An important feature of the degree is an embedded six-month internship program that provides industry-relevant experience and networking opportunities. Choose a major in either events, tourism or hospitality. This major appears on your testamur, e.g. Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management (Events). Alternatively, you can choose from a range of elective units to tailor your studies, gaining knowledge in the areas that really interest you and that suit your current work-life journey.

Developed in collaboration with AccorHotels, InterContinental Hotels Group and TFE Hotels Group, the Master of Business in Global Hotel Leadership is designed for future leaders in the Hotel, Tourism and Leisure industry with a desire to accelerate their career path.

This course will help participants to develop an advanced level of understanding of hotel operations and the principles behind hotel asset management, service design and delivery systems, operational models and disruptive technologies.

There is also a strong focus on business management and leadership skills to meet the needs of those with an entrepreneurial spirit who want to operate their own business.

The Graduate Diploma of Business in Global Hotel Leadership is an entry pathway into the Master of Business in Global Hotel Leadership. It provides an introduction to advanced study in contemporary leadership techniques as they apply to the global hotel and hospitality sectors.

The Graduate Diploma of Business in Global Hotel Leadership develops business applied skills to support graduates with their leadership careers in contemporary global hotel industries.

Through an industry-led, applied curriculum, students gain an understanding of relevant theories and concepts and allows them to connect with real world problems and issues through a range of authentic, industry-connected, assessment tasks. These assessments provide an applied context for students’ learning and a pathway for further learning. The curriculum is built on hotel leadership/management principles that enable students to study in their chosen career path within hotel organisations and their specialised departments. It is anticipated that students who successfully complete the Graduate Diploma will move into the Master of Business in Global Hotel Leadership where they will be exposed to a series of higher level, self-management approaches to learning within the hotel context.
