The Bachelor of International Public Health is designed for students who are interested in improving the health and wellbeing of populations across the globe, and in the prevention of disease and disability. Public health focuses on improving and protecting the health and wellbeing of communities, with an emphasis on prevention among large groups of people.

This degree focuses on supporting you to develop the practical skills and knowledge required to investigate local and global public health problems, as well as the ability to design and implement innovative new approaches to emerging issues. It will provide you with a solid understanding of the different health needs of communities, the social and environmental factors that influence health and how to reduce the risks and inequities.

This three-year degree will expose you to a range of public health challenges designed to prepare you for a variety of roles within the field of public health, as well as support you to develop your skills in critical thinking, research, communication and leadership.

With flexible learning options including on-campus and online (full-time and part-time), you can tailor the program to suit your needs. Our multidisciplinary teaching team has extensive experience in global public health and have active roles in influencing health policies and strategies to support population health in Australia and overseas.

This innovative degree extends the Civil Engineering Bachelor degree by including courses in Architecture from the School of Built Environment. Civil engineers create and manage the infrastructure of our built environment, including bridges, roads and highways, tunnels, dams, ports and harbours, railways, water supply and sewerage schemes, irrigation systems and many other structures.

The degree will lead to a professionally accredited Engineering qualification with a foundation in architectural principles and an understanding of both the architect's role in structural design and the connection between architects and engineers. It aims to inspire students to become conceptual thinkers with an appreciation for architectural beauty and the mathematical insight to challenge traditional boundaries of structural design.

The UNSW Bachelor of Commerce/Media is a double-degree that can be completed in 4 years full-time, or the part-time equivalent.  

Through the Bachelor of Media, you can specialise in public relations and advertising, communications and journalism, screen production, cinema studies, or media studies.  As you hone your expertise, you’ll developing your creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication, and learn to drive change through ethical and persuasive communications.

Through the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), you’ll learn in the classroom and the boardroom. Media studies

Dietetics is an allied health profession that applies the science of food and nutrition to optimise health, treat illnesses and prevent the onset of chronic diseases. A dietitian can help people manage health conditions such as diabetes, cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, gastrointestinal diseases, obesity and food allergies. 

Food innovation examines all aspects of the food value chain from agriculture, food technology, food manufacturing and the retail sector, through to innovations and digital technologies. It looks at how we can improve the food system to address current and future food equity and sustainability challenges.

By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

If you're interested in both legal and economic analysis, the Bachelor of Economics/Law provides you the opportunity to examine the formation, process, structure and economic impact of law, policy and legal institutions.

You'll develop a critical understanding of legal frameworks, processes and systems, while also studying economic issues such as international trade, inflation, government policy and competition, strategic behaviour and unemployment. The Master of Public Health/Master of Health Leadership and Management (Extension) double degree will enable you to specialise in both public health and health management and to develop research skills in health management. You will gain the advanced disciplinary knowledge and skills to undertake population health and health services management roles in government, community and health service settings in Australia and internationally.  This degree also includes a research project which will cultivate your critical thinking and communication skills as you explore contemporary health management issues.

By undertaking this combination of degrees you will come away with a sophisticated understanding of the multidisciplinary knowledge required for public health and health management. This includes epidemiology, biostatistics, social determinants of health, population-targeted health research methods, leadership and workforce management, quality improvement, and the design, implementation and evaluation of health programs and policy. You will acquire the specialised skills needed for health management research and evidence-based professional practice and leadership across a range of contexts.

Through the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)/Law double degree, you'll develop excellent analytical skills, a capacity for scholarly research and effective oral and written communication skills that will prepare you for a range of careers.
