The Master of City Planning at UNSW is a two-year, professionally accredited postgraduate degree that allows you to bring experience from previous study to launch a career in urban and regional planning.

The Bachelor of Aviation (Management) addresses these issues to produce graduates with essential skills and knowledge in the fields of science, engineering, interpersonal relations, the environment and management. UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. Both degrees offer flexibility, allowing you to shape your degree to match your ambitions and interests.

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

Food scientists study the properties of food and ingredients to ensure their safe use and consumption. The Food Science (Honours) degree is designed to provide you with a solid background in mathematics, natural and applied sciences to equip you for a career in a variety of professions.

You'll have the opportunity to apply yourself to food product design and enquiry projects, professional food practice, food systems management, research towards your thesis project.

The four-year Food Science degree is offered in two disciplines: Food Science and Technology and Food Science and Nutrition

The UNSW Master of Engineering Science in Biomedical Engineering is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree offered by the School of Biomedical Engineering. You’ll gain the expertise to work in influential areas related to human health, like biomechanics, medical device design, drug-delivery systems, radiotherapies, telemedicine, robotics, and cell and tissue engineering.  

The Master of Engineering Science (Biomedical Engineering) is designed for graduate engineers. As part of a globally renowned engineering faculty, you’ll learn to apply your knowledge of engineering to drive solutions that support human health.  

The program is designed for students who already have an accredited engineering degree and want to shift their career towards biomedical engineering. You’ll choose up to four courses from relevant disciplines such as electrical, chemical and mechanical engineering, as well as two foundation courses in the subject area.

If you have a degree or extensive professional experience in a related area, you can apply for credit of up to half the program. 

Bioinformatics is where computing and the life sciences meet. It involves the development of technologies to work with and manage the huge volumes of genetic information being generated.

Bioinformatics is at the convergence of computing and the life sciences, and involves the development of technologies for storing, extracting, organising, analysing, interpreting and using the growing volume of genetic information being generated.The need to process and analyse vast amounts of information requires advances in both software technologies and hardware architectures.

In this degree you'll learn the foundation disciplines of bioinformatics, which includes biology (biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics), computing (algorithms, databases and programming), mathematics and statistics. You'll gain the skills to design and implement software for activities such as identifying the genes affected in specific cancer types.

Discoveries in life sciences are integral to the advancement of our world and society. The Bachelor of Life Sciences is a generalist degree that brings together the biological, environmental and medical sciences to answer fundamental questions. This degree will equip you with transferable skills that can be applied to a wide range of industries.
