Molecular Genetics

In humans and all other species, genes influence every characteristic, from appearance to behaviour to disease. Molecular genetics is a specialised area that has had a major impact on the discipline. The Master of Translation and Interpreting at UNSW is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree that allows you to specialise in an area relevant to your professional translating and interpreting ambitions.

This degree combines translation studies and interpreting courses with elective courses from applied linguistics to provide you a complementary and comprehensive language education tailored to your interests. Computational Design (Major)

When you study Computational Design at UNSW, you’ll learn to approach challenges differently through design-thinking. You’ll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, including 3D modelling, digital geometry and parametric design, responsive environments, AR and VR, and robotic and digital fabrication using 3D printers and laser cutters.

Through design thinking and computational design theory, you’ll hone critical-thinking and communication skills to create inclusive designs for diverse contexts. As part of our supportive Arts, Design & Architecture community, you’ll be encouraged to collaborate across disciplines, gain professional experience, and take advantage of programs that support entrepreneurship and innovation. You’ll have the opportunity to work on real-life projects set by UNSW’s partners in the built-environment, architecture and design industries such as Cox, Arup, Hassell, BVN, Bates Smart, PTW Architects, Grimshaw, Mott McDonald, and Aurecon.

Surveying supports all construction activity and infrastructure engineering in urban and rural environments, as well as mapping and monitoring the natural environment. Activities include defining land boundaries, engineering and mining surveying, offshore surveys, digital mapping, precise positioning and property development.

Surveying is a perfect combination of indoors and outdoors. You'll learn how to use a range of hi-tech tools such as GPSs, laser scanners, mapping drones and surveying robots to create high definition 3D models of the built and natural environment. You'll also learn how to apply maths and powerful software to deliver products for a range of applications. To get you work ready, you'll apply these skills through 60 days of approved industry training.85
