This degree provides pathways for both those with backgrounds in museums, galleries, arts organisations, art history and art practice and those who wish to enter curating or cultural leadership from other professional backgrounds.

The UNSW Master of Engineering Science (Sustainable Systems) postgraduate degree is designed to help you specialise and gain a deeper knowledge across a broad range of disciplines. You’ll examine how engineers discover holistic and effective solutions to unsustainable practices in the modern world.

The degree features a range of exciting topics including sustainable systems engineering, industrial ecology, sustainability and environmental sciences, and sustainability management. It also includes a number of targeted courses in renewable energy engineering and energy efficiency and promotes flexible learning as a keystone of the program.

The typical two-year degree, sitting within the UNSW School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, comprises 16 courses. It features complex, open-ended enquiry-based projects as well as many other opportunities to help you become a leader in the field. Biotechnology takes our understanding of cell biology and chemistry to create a range of products and solutions to problems in medicine, food and energy. The Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) includes fundamental teaching in the life sciences, explores current trends and issues in the industry and tackles key focus areas including synthetic biology, bioprocessing, medical applications and commercialisation. It also incorporates a research-based honours year, providing you with greater experience and confidence in the practice of scientific methods.

The SCIF3199 Science Work Placement course gives you the opportunity to gain practical work experience through an internship. Previous work placement students have interned with IT companies, start-ups, government departments and large biomedical and biotechnology companies. Along with new professional skills and connections, you’ll also gain course credit for your work placement.

• The SCIF2041 Research Internship course gives you the opportunity to complete a short theoretical or experimental research project in a world-leading research team supervised by a member of academic staff. Internships may also involve a placement outside of UNSW, in the form of externally funded research programs.

You’ll learn how to use exercise to manage chronic disease, enhance health and improve physical performance. As a future exercise professional, you’ll play a vital role in building healthier communities. 

Accelerate your career with a comprehensive education in exercise science and exercise physiology. In just four years and one term, you'll gain both a Bachelor of Applied Exercise Science and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology. This combined degree explores the science of human performance and how exercise is used as a rehabilitative and preventative therapy, equipping you to care for both healthy patients and those with chronic disease across two areas of practice.

Exercise scientists specialise in the prescription and delivery of exercise to enhance general health and improve athletic performance. Exercise scientists draw on a broad array of knowledge from subdisciplines such as biomechanics, motor control and exercise prescription to develop and deliver exercise initiatives to improve individual and community health. 

Exercise physiologists expand on the exercise science skillset by using exercise as a rehabilitative and preventative therapy to manage a wide range of chronic diseases including cancers, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, neurological and mental health conditions. 
This degree will prepare you to meet the accreditation requirements to work as an exercise scientist and/or exercise physiologist. You'll be qualified to work across a wide range of roles and settings including hospitals, private practices, aged care, mental health clinics and workplace health and rehabilitation.
