Communications and Journalism (Major)
In choosing to specialise in communication & journalism for your Bachelor of Media at UNSW, you’ll be armed with the knowledge, skills, and experience you need to make your mark in journalism. You’ll complete up to 90 days of work experience consisting of a minimum of 40 days of supervised work in a landscape industry role and 40 days in a design office. This innovative degree extends the Civil Engineering Bachelor degree by including courses in Architecture from the School of Built Environment. Civil engineers create and manage the infrastructure of our built environment, including bridges, roads and highways, tunnels, dams, ports and harbours, railways, water supply and sewerage schemes, irrigation systems and many other structures.

The degree will lead to a professionally accredited Engineering qualification with a foundation in architectural principles and an understanding of both the architect's role in structural design and the connection between architects and engineers.
