The UNSW Bachelor of Commerce/Fine Arts is a double-degree that can be completed in 4 years full-time, or the part-time equivalent.  

Through the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), you’ll learn in the classroom and the boardroom. You’ll gain business knowledge and professional experience and build a digital portfolio to kick-start your career as you study. The program has been designed alongside industry to ensure you have what it takes to thrive in the careers of the future.

Through the Bachelor of Fine Arts, you'll explore your artistic ideas and practices, build technical skills and knowledge, and learn from experts in practical and theoretical classes. Economics is an influential social science that explores human behaviour and decision-making. Economists focus on the roles of incentives, resource constraints, laws, customs, and institutions. Through the Bachelor of Economics, you’ll explore how the decisions of institutions and individuals interact to determine outcomes for the economy and society.

The Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) allows you to choose from 26 majors across the physical, natural and human sciences. It gives you the flexibility to explore the areas of science you’re passionate in and undertake a supervised research project in your honours year. The Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree allows high-performing students to deepen their knowledge of approaches, perspectives and traditions in their chosen scientific discipline and undertake a significant research project.

There are 29 specialisations available covering a wide and diverse range of disciplines, from biology, chemistry and physics to aviation, geology and statistics. As a result of the variety of options that can be chosen across the Faculty, the proportion of research-based work and coursework will differ by School.

In addition to conducting research and coursework, you will generally also be expected to attend and present seminars, write a literature review write a thesis and undertake Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) training. This degree also provides an academic foundation for you to continue on to a masters by research or a PhD.

The Master of Global Health (Extension)/Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence will provide you with advanced disciplinary knowledge and skills to undertake infectious diseases prevention and control and health services management roles in government, community and health service settings with a focus on international settings.

The degree, which features three electives in International Health, fosters a sophisticated understanding and application across a complex body of multidisciplinary knowledge including infectious diseases intelligence, policy design, implementation and evaluation. This degree also includes a research project which will cultivate your critical thinking and communication skills as you explore contemporary global health issues.

On graduating, you will be equipped with the specialised skills and concepts needed for professional practice in the prevention, identification, assessment, and control of infectious diseases.

The widespread adaptation of high-speed digital transmission methods like fibre optic cabling and mobile telecommunications has resulted in significant changes in the industry.  

Telecommunications Engineers design, develop and maintain all aspects of voice and data communications systems. They work on the theory and application of a broad range of systems such as telephone and data networks, radio and TV, satellites and deep space applications. To get you work ready, you'll apply these skills through 60 days of approved industry training.
