UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. Business Analytics (Major)

When you study business analytics at the UNSW Business School you’ll be studying at the top Business School in the Asia Pacific. We’re ranked 1st in Australia, 2nd in the Asia Pacific and 16th in the world in Information Systems by the Association of Information Systems. You’ll learn to source data, data analysis and apply data insights. Skills in business analytics can be applied to a diverse range of industries. By learning business analytics you’ll develop the skills and knowledge to find meaning and extract value from data by applying creativity to real-world problems.

In addition to statistical modelling, programming and database management, you’ll study with an emphasis on the ethical and legal issues of data governance. You’ll graduate with a holistic framework to span the bridge between business problem owners and technical experts. The specialisation of business analytics is becoming an increasingly popular specialisation at UNSW Business School.

Combine the influential social science of economics, with advanced skills in mathematics and an Honours research project. This renowned double degree equips you with analytical and statistical skills that will set you apart from the crowd and prepare you for diverse careers.

Economists focus on the roles of incentives, resource constraints, laws, customs, and institutions. Through the Bachelor of Economics, you’ll explore how the decisions of institutions and individuals interact to determine outcomes for the economy and society. Mathematics and statistics are essential to advanced financial and economic modelling, making Advanced Mathematics a natural complement to Economics.

If you’re interested in the increasing range of quantitative careers in areas such as finance and environmental modelling, this degree offers a strong foundation.

The Master of Engineering Science in Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Geology is a 2-year full-time postgraduate degree at Australia’s leading engineering faculty. The degree was developed to provide a deeper understanding of geotechnical theory to solve practical problems in areas including soil mechanics, rock mechanics, slope stability, foundation design, earthworks and dam engineering.

This degree is designed for students who already have a four-year accredited engineering degree and want to broaden their job prospects through cross-training, re-training or specialisation. This double degree combines critical business knowledge from the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with aviation management skills, setting you up for a successful, global career in the aviation industry. 

When you combine studies in business and aviation you can supercharge your career in the aviation industry with a unique mix of skills. The commerce component of this double degree provides you with a fundamental understanding of general business principles and allows you to develop specialist knowledge in a business area of your choice.

The aviation management degree shares a common academic core with the flying stream, replacing flight training with a range of courses in management areas such as operations management, aviation economics, law and regulations, airline marketing and safety. Students are exposed to current aviation topics and often work in teams to solve contemporary air transport problems. Learning exercises range from operating a start-up airline in a management simulation to exploring the cognitive abilities of humans in the fast-developing environment of aviation.

The UNSW Master of Public Relations & Advertising/Master of Design combines two postgraduate degrees over two or three years full-time. Human Rights Law & Policy
The development of human rights law continuously alters how nation-states, governments, individuals and groups interact at the international, regional and domestic levels. Challenges to the standards underlying these laws by states and individuals require informed and robust responses by human rights professionals to ensure their promotion and protection.  
This Master of Laws specialisation will enable you to acquire expertise in human rights law and the policy context that it operates in. It combines the expertise of human rights academics and practitioners across a range of human rights issues that are of contemporary domestic and international significance. It will expose you to the benefits and limitations of human rights theory and practice.

Broaden your career opportunities by studying advanced science and engineering together. The advanced science degree differs from the Bachelor of Science with the inclusion of advanced-level courses and an honours year. In addition to foundation subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics and maths, you also have access to more than 26 advanced fields of science. During your studies, you will develop the critical and analytical thinking needed for the successful completion of the research-based honours year.

In the engineering degree, you'll have the opportunity to apply yourself to engineering design and enquiry projects, professional engineering practice, engineering and technical management and research. Choose from a wide range of specialisations, from traditional disciplines such as civil engineering and electrical engineering, through to those tailored to modern challenges, such as renewable energy engineering.

This double degree enables students to gain skills and knowledge in the technical field of Computer Science as well as in a variety of subjects in Humanities and Social Sciences.

The Computer Science component emphasises comprehension of the basic principles behind computing tools, operating systems, compilers and translators, and computer hardware. You'll study the representation of data and data structures and the design of algorithms, as well as the creation of hardware and software tools and the role of non-computing elements in the design and development process.

In the Arts component, you'll choose a major and a minor from a range of disciplines, including languages, arts, history, philosophy and business.
