The Master of Health Leadership and Management/Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence (Extension) enables you to specialise in both infectious disease intelligence and health management. With this degree, you will develop research skills and apply them while undertaking a scholarly project as part of the program.

During your studies, you will gain a sophisticated understanding of a complex body of multidisciplinary knowledge including: infectious diseases intelligence; leadership and workforce management; strategic planning and change management; quality improvement and health program and policy design; and implementation and evaluation.

Mining Engineering studies the safe, economic and environmentally responsible recovery, processing, marketing and financial management of mineral resources. Mining Engineering is about the extraction of natural minerals from the earth and the processing of those minerals into more user-friendly forms with minimal environmental impact.

At UNSW, we focus on the long-term health of the sector through research in Sustainable Mining Practices. Our school produces internationally acclaimed research, working closely with industry to provide innovative solutions. This research feeds directly into our degrees to maintain the Australian mining industry’s comparative advantage of cost-competitive, safe and environmentally responsible operations.

This degree provides a comprehensive understanding of how complex mining systems work together to service the global need for minerals. It will give you a solid foundation in fundamental engineering principles and essential elements of mining, like geomechanics, ventilation, mine planning and mineral processing. The Master of Global Health (Extension)/Master of Health Leadership and Management double degree is an innovative approach to postgraduate health education, enabling you to specialise in both global health and health management and complete a research project in global health. This double degree meets a well-recognised need to strengthen public health, health leadership and health management capacities within resource-constrained settings in international and global contexts.

We will equip you with specialised professional knowledge and skills to work internationally in health departments, with non-government organisations (NGOs), and with international and bilateral aid agencies. The UNSW Master of Public Policy and Governance is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree, that applies a social science perspective to real-world questions of policy, research and management in modern organisations. Through this master’s degree, you’ll prepare for roles that require research and analytical skills, and a practical appreciation of the processes of policymaking, policy analysis, and policy implementation.

This degree helps you to develop the skills and perspectives needed for the assessment, evaluation, and sensitivity of public policy. You’ll explore the impacts research, public policy and governance have on clients, customers and the public.

The UNSW Master of Engineering Science in Biomedical Engineering is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree offered by the School of Biomedical Engineering. You’ll gain the expertise to work in influential areas related to human health, like biomechanics, medical device design, drug-delivery systems, radiotherapies, telemedicine, robotics, and cell and tissue engineering.  

The Master of Engineering Science (Biomedical Engineering) is designed for graduate engineers. As part of a globally renowned engineering faculty, you’ll learn to apply your knowledge of engineering to drive solutions that support human health.  

The program is designed for students who already have an accredited engineering degree and want to shift their career towards biomedical engineering. You’ll choose up to four courses from relevant disciplines such as electrical, chemical and mechanical engineering, as well as two foundation courses in the subject area.

If you have a degree or extensive professional experience in a related area, you can apply for credit of up to half the program.
