The UNSW Bachelor of Commerce/Media is a double-degree that can be completed in 4 years full-time, or the part-time equivalent.  

Through the Bachelor of Media, you can specialise in public relations and advertising, communications and journalism, screen production, cinema studies, or media studies.  As you hone your expertise, you’ll developing your creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication, and learn to drive change through ethical and persuasive communications.

Through the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), you’ll learn in the classroom and the boardroom. The Master of Global Health (Extension)/Master of Public Health offers an innovative approach to postgraduate health education, enabling you to specialise in public health in international developing country contexts as well as Australia and other developed countries.

The Master of Global Health (Extension) provides an opportunity for high-achieving students to extend their studies by completing additional courses and a research project in global health. The Master of Public Health is recognised as essential for a career in population health. Studying this combination of degrees will cultivate sophisticated knowledge and skills in public health that you can apply to a broad range of highly complex population health issues in local and global settings. Building on UNSW Art & Design’s experience of delivering leading postgraduate education for arts and cultural professionals, the Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership (MCCL) is designed with extensive industry engagement and consultation. With an established and trusted history of producing graduates sought after for their vision, our graduates have secured roles in world-leading cultural institutions such as the Smithsonian, Carriageworks and MAAS.

This degree is for those interested in exploring a wide range of areas across curating and cultural leadership through industry engagement and professional experience with galleries, libraries, archives, museums and other cultural institutions. We deliver our curriculum in close collaboration with our on-campus UNSW Galleries and a broad range of Australian and international creative industries partners. These opportunities allow you to experience integrated, collaborative and diverse industry experiences throughout your postgraduate studies.

This degree provides pathways for both those with backgrounds in museums, galleries, arts organisations, art history and art practice and those who wish to enter curating or cultural leadership from other professional backgrounds.

Students can undertake a five-year full-time double degree leading to the award of the degrees of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (BE (Hons) BSc).

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) provides you with a solid background in mathematics, natural sciences and computing to give you knowledge and skills in whichever specialisation you choose. You'll have the chance to apply yourself to engineering design and enquiry projects, professional engineering practice, and engineering and technical management, as well as conduct research towards your thesis project.

The Bachelor of Science degree allows you to study a wide range of science subjects. You are encouraged to choose a variety of courses in your first year, and later to choose from a broad selection of major options. This gives you time to become more familiar with the different areas of science and to explore possible majors.

Do you currently work in the underground hard rock or coal mining industry, in the field of strata control? Or is this an area you'd like to progress into? The Master of Mine Geotechnical Engineering is the postgraduate degree for you.

You'll receive a foundational education in fundamental principles of rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering, as well as practical strata control applications. This degree teaches you practical knowledge to become a mine strata control engineer.

This degree is designed for professionals working at mine sites and are offered in a flexible delivery format; many are available in distance mode with a limited number of face-to-face workshops/sessions. Assessments include practical site-based assignments, group work, interactive work and presentations.

Note: Some electives may be offered only every two years and international students are not eligible to enrol on a student visa

Medical science is the foundation that the practice of medicine is built on. This degree delves into how the human body functions and responds to disease and drug treatments. It incorporates facets of several scientific disciplines to provide you with an extensive understanding of the human body.

Molecular Genetics

In humans and all other species, genes influence every characteristic, from appearance to behaviour to disease. Molecular genetics is a specialised area that has had a major impact on the discipline.
