As a civil engineer you’ll construct, manage and maintain infrastructure using mathematics, mechanics, physics and creative problem-solving.

In this degree you’ll be immersed in civil engineering design and research projects, professional engineering practice, engineering and technical management and conduct research towards your thesis project.

You’ll develop a foundation in civil engineering fundamentals and applications. Your education will include structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transport engineering and water engineering, as well as construction and management.

The UNSW Master of Development Studies is a two-year, full-time interactive degree that provides specialist studies in international development at the local, national and global level. This degree takes a participatory approach to the philosophy of human rights, social justice and community development.

You’ll learn the framework to understand the complexities of the geopolitical, economic, social, ethical, and cultural contexts in which development takes place. The School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications offers a five-year integrated degree leading to a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Engineering (BE ME) in Electrical Engineering. You’ll study the representation of data and data structures and the design of algorithms, as well as the creation of hardware and software tools and the role of non-computing elements in the design and development process.

Study the mechanisms that allow us to visualise the world. This degree explores the sensory processes that underlie vision and the development and use of vision-related technologies.

Studio-based courses enable you to focus on a specific area of design and digital media practice or put together a suite of courses from across design, material practice and digital media.

The Master of Public Health (Extension)/Master of Health Leadership and Management will enable you to specialise in both public health and health management, allowing you to develop research skills in public health. This double degree will give you advanced disciplinary knowledge and skills to undertake population health and health services management roles in government, community and health service settings in Australia and internationally.

You will gain a deep understanding of public health and health management, including epidemiology, biostatistics, social determinants of health, health promotion, population-targeted health research methods, leadership and workforce management.
