The Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) (Honours) prepares you for the increasing range of quantitative careers in areas such as finance and technology, while UNSW's Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) is an innovative business degree, designed alongside industry to ensure you are one of Australia's most employable graduates.

This five-year degree allows you to build a foundational understanding of business essentials. Specialise in one of 12 Commerce majors such as Finance, Business Analytics or Economics, gain industry experience, and build a professional portfolio.  Alongside this, you'll undertake advanced coursework with an honours level research project in your chosen Mathematics specialisation.

This double degree in mathematics and computer studies makes a valuable combination. While the advanced mathematics (honours) degree focuses on in-depth understanding of pure and applied mathematics, the computer science degree looks at the design, construction and uses of computer systems.

UNSW offers mathematics students advanced facilities combined with innovative teaching. Media Studies (Major)

The Master of Simulation & Immersive Technologies will equip you to become a future-ready design leader. You’ll graduate capable of understanding and meeting the growing demand for immersive practices across many industries.

This program offers a unique human-centric and design-led approach to technologies and focuses on human perception and experience. You’ll learn how, why, when and where to effectively utilise simulation and immersive platforms, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) and extended reality (XR). Throughout the degree, you’ll engage with the latest technologies first-hand as you learn through real industry case studies and insights from global leaders.

This degree is designed to accommodate the needs of busy professionals from a wide range of backgrounds. You will choose to study fully online, or in blended mode with part-time and full-time options available. In blended mode, you will study core courses online and attend two intensive face-to-face meetups per year on-campus or at our industry partner facilities. You will also have full access to all campus facilities throughout your study.

Criminal Justice and Criminology
Crime and criminal justice are matters of pressing public concern and considerable controversy. Newly emerging problems offer challenges and require rethinking conventional understandings of criminology and criminal justice. Innovative technologies and justice practices may offer advantages and threats to due process and the integrity of the criminal justice system.  

The Criminal Justice and Criminology specialisation in the Master of Laws will provide you with advanced interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to research and analyse current debates, emerging problems, and new criminal law and criminal justice developments. The specialisation draws on the recognised expertise of UNSW in research and teaching of criminal justice and criminology, criminal law and procedure. Medical Microbiology

UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. Both degrees offer flexibility, allowing you to shape your degree to match your ambitions and interests.

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. The Master of Health Leadership and Management (Extension)/Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence degree enables you to specialise in both infectious disease intelligence and health management and develop research skills and apply them while undertaking a scholarly project.

You will be provided with advanced disciplinary knowledge and skills to undertake infectious diseases prevention and control, and health services management roles in government, community and health service settings in Australia and internationally. The degree will equip you with the specialised skills and leadership needed for professional practice in control of infectious diseases and for research and evidence based professional practice.

The program fosters judgment-ready practitioners who can contribute to improving population health and work across a range of contexts including ministries and departments of health, government and non-government and voluntary organisations, primary care and community healthcare services in both public and private sectors.

The UNSW Master of Development Studies is a two-year, full-time interactive degree that provides specialist studies in international development at the local, national and global level.
