Financial Technology (FinTech) Specialisation

Financial technology (FinTech) is a rapidly growing field in finance where technology is used to create, enhance, and sometimes disrupt financial services. Think: peer-to-peer lending, robo-advice, and decentralised finance like Bitcoin.

This program offers a unique human-centric and design-led approach to technologies and focuses on human perception and experience. You’ll learn how, why, when and where to effectively utilise simulation and immersive platforms, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) and extended reality (XR). This degree is designed to accommodate the needs of busy professionals from a wide range of backgrounds. You will choose to study fully online, or in blended mode with part-time and full-time options available. In blended mode, you will study core courses online and attend two intensive face-to-face meetups per year on-campus or at our industry partner facilities. You will also have full access to all campus facilities throughout your study.

Chinese and International Business and Economic Law 

International business and economic law has become an integral element of globalisation. It provides the fundamental framework for regulating cross-border activities ranging from trade, investment and finance to treaty negotiations, rulemaking and dispute resolution. As one of the world's largest economies, China is now among the most influential players in using and shaping the international economic law order.  

In this Master of Laws specialisation, you'll acquire advanced knowledge and analytical ability across a broad spectrum of contemporary issues such as:

• The development of international trade and investment rules and policy

Theatre and performance
Take the stage and learn why performance matters in a media-savvy world. In this specialisation, you'll learn from industry professionals, collaborate with artists, and gain experience with production companies, venues, and publishers. And have the chance to bring your creativity to life at the unique UNSW Creative Practice Lab with dedicated studio and workshop spaces.

Petroleum Engineers work with oil or gas companies to design, test and implement efficient methods to extract petroleum products from the earth and sea floor. They use their knowledge and skills to make estimations about what is going on thousands of metres below the ground. Petroleum Engineers rely on physical, mathematical and engineering principles to identify and solve problems in exploration, exploitation, drilling and production.

They work closely with other professionals, such as geologists, to locate the dig site, design and build the machines that extract as much oil and gas as possible. They also oversee the removal and processing of the petroleum itself. Petroleum engineers address the economic and management problems associated with the recovery of hydrocarbons and alternative sources of energy from below the Earth’s surface. Petroleum engineers apply practical science to the challenges and problems associated with oil and gas exploration, drilling and petroleum production. In this career you’ll focus on the environment, and how we can meet global energy needs in a long-term, sustainable manner.

In this career you’ll apply knowledge of chemistry, physics, geology and economics to the discovery, development and production of energy and material resources below the Earth’s surface. This knowledge can also be used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and geothermal resources engineering.

Explore the ways our criminal justice and mental health systems interact. Forensic mental health services assess and treat people with mental health problems who have a history of or are at risk of criminal offending. Professionals in this field might also work in civil legal settings, such as the family court. Forensic mental health is a major consideration for professionals in a range of fields, including medicine, law, nursing, criminology, psychology, occupational therapy and social work.

The Master of Forensic Mental Health was established in response to a local need for trained professionals to work in this expanding field. This progressive degree brings together a diverse cross-section of experiences and perspectives from mental health professionals, members of the legal profession and those involved in the criminal justice system.
