This degree is designed for students who are passionate about both the Law and Science, and are interested in learning about the connection between the two.

The Law degree aims to develop graduates who have excellent analytical skills, a capacity for scholarly research, effective oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to personal and professional development, ethical practice and social responsibility. In addition to developing critical and analytical skills, Law students can gain real-world perspective by undertaking an internship and practical legal experience in our community legal centre. This is complemented by hands-on learning and a strong research focus in the Advanced Science degree, where you can tailor coursework to your aptitude and interests while deepening your understanding of scientific inquiry.

The UNSW Bachelor of Commerce/Media is a double-degree that can be completed in 4 years full-time, or the part-time equivalent.  

Through the Bachelor of Media, you can specialise in public relations and advertising, communications and journalism, screen production, cinema studies, or media studies.  As you hone your expertise, you’ll developing your creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication, and learn to drive change through ethical and persuasive communications.

Through the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), you’ll learn in the classroom and the boardroom. You’ll gain essential business knowledge and professional experience, and build a digital portfolio, to kick-start your career as you study. Medical science is the foundation that the practice of medicine is built on. This degree delves into how the human body functions and responds to disease and drug treatments. It incorporates facets of several scientific disciplines to provide you with an extensive understanding of the human body.

The Bachelor of Medical Science explores:

• The structure and chemistry of the cells that make up living organisms (cell & molecular biology and biochemistry)
• The structure and function of the human body (anatomy and physiology)
• The general processes leading to disease (pathology)
• The role of bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms in disease (microbiology)
• Drugs which are used to cure human diseases (pharmacology)
• The way in which our form and function is inherited (genetics)
• The processes of development from the fertilised ovum (embryology)
• The natural defences of the body (immunology)

• This degree provides the basis for a career in biomedical research and is also an appropriate first degree if you’re planning to progress to graduate medical or paramedical degrees.

Human Pathology

Examine how and why diseases develop, what happens to our bodies when we’re ill and the effects of diseases. Pathology involves the study of diseases, such as infections and cancers, at the genetic, molecular, cellular and organ levels.

The field of Engineering is rapidly evolving. Quantum Engineering is a new approach to working with quantum technology. Quantum Engineering combines the broad skills of engineering with fundamental physics in a unique way that allows engineers to solve contemporary problems and engineer solutions for the future.  Quantum mechanics opens the doors for Quantum Engineers to leverage quantum physics to deliver unprecedented solutions to engineering problems.

Quantum Engineers specialise in how high-frequency, nanometer-scale electronics can be made to harness quantum nature. When you study Quantum Engineering at UNSW, you'll develop the skillset required for the next generation of microelectronics, microwave and telecommunications engineers.

In this bachelor's degree, you'll learn how to work with a range of quantum systems, from high-frequency signals to very small electronic circuits.

Our expert academics will teach you about novel systems where the quantum phenomenon is the core aspect such as quantum computers, quantum sensors and quantum communications. Cinema Studies (Major)
Specialising in cinema studies as part of your Bachelor of Media at UNSW will equip you with the theoretical, historical, and cultural frameworks to understand how and why moving image cultures continue to shape global media industries.

By studying the historical, social, economic, and political contexts of cinema, you’ll engage in forms of film analysis that apply critically informed and ethically based approaches to the art and industry of moviemaking.

The Master of Global Health and Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence double degree is an innovative approach to postgraduate health education. This degree focuses on design, development, manufacturing and management of complex hardware and software systems, and reliable cost-effective devices. This involves the use of new information and computer-intensive technologies.
