The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. Medical science is the foundation that the practice of medicine is built on. This degree delves into how the human body functions and responds to disease and drug treatments. It incorporates facets of several scientific disciplines to provide you with an extensive understanding of the human body.

The Bachelor of Medical Science explores:

• The structure and chemistry of the cells that make up living organisms (cell & molecular biology and biochemistry)
• The structure and function of the human body (anatomy and physiology)

• The role of bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms in disease (microbiology)

Neurobiology

Explore the biological aspects of the nervous system. The nervous system includes the:

• Central nervous system (brain and spinal cord)
• Peripheral nervous system (nerves in limbs, muscles and organs).

This major is based around the neuroscience courses offered by the anatomy, physiology and pharmacology departments at UNSW.

The Master of Global Health and Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence double degree is an innovative approach to postgraduate health education. It enables you to better understand infectious diseases in the era of new and emerging disease threats as well as management approaches for the identification, assessment, prevention and control of infectious diseases.

This combination fosters a sophisticated understanding across a complex body of multidisciplinary knowledge including infectious diseases intelligence, policy design, implementation and evaluation. You will be equipped with the specialised skills and concepts needed for professional practice in the prevention, identification, assessment and control of infectious diseases.
