The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

The Master of Health Leadership and Management (Extension) provides you with advanced disciplinary knowledge and capacities for tackling challenging senior managerial roles in health services in Australia or internationally. The degree is designed to develop judgement-ready, critically reflexive practitioners who can improve health service systems and outcomes.

You will gain a sophisticated understanding across the complex body of multidisciplinary knowledge of health management, including financial and economic management, quality and safety improvement programs, leadership and human resource management, strategic planning and change management, and policy and health program design, implementation and evaluation. Many of our graduates occupy key positions in health services and universities in Australia and across the globe.

The Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) consists of a year-long major independent research project (completed under the guidance of an academic supervisor), and a thesis based on the project. In addition, you'll complete advanced core and elective coursework.

The research project may be undertaken in most areas of psychology, such as:

• Psychopathology
• Behavioural neuroscience
• Cognitive science
• Cognition and perception
• Forensic psychology
• social, personality and developmental psychology.

The coursework requirement includes content that encompasses history, professional ethics, evidence-based practice and advanced coverage of selected contemporary issues in psychology.

This degree also provides an academic foundation for you to continue on to a master's by coursework, a master's by research or a PhD.

The Master of Clinical Optometry combines the theoretical discipline of vision science with the clinical art of primary eye care.

We rely heavily on our five senses to navigate life: touch, taste, smell, hearing and sight. Each of these senses play a vital role in our day-to-day lives. Problems with eyesight can have a profound impact on an individual’s life. Through optometry, many vision problems and eye diseases can be corrected or managed, restoring sight to people from all walks of life.

Optometrists diagnose vision problems, eye diseases and other eye health issues. These highly skilled professionals correct poor vision and manage or slow degenerative eye diseases with corrective lenses, optical aids, therapy or medication.

The Master of Clinical Optometry is a two-year degree that serves as a pathway to registered practice as an optometrist in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia. It combines the theoretical discipline of vision science, the optics of lenses and instruments, the physiology of the eye, the psychophysics of vision and neuroscience with the clinical art of primary eye care, which covers the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, the dispensing of spectacles and contact lenses, the management of people with special needs (children, low vision), sports vision and vision in the workplace.

Public health focuses on improving and protecting the health and wellbeing of communities, with an emphasis on prevention among large groups of people.

Forensic mental health services assess and treat people with mental health problems who have a history of or are at risk of criminal offending. Professionals in this field might also work in civil legal settings, such as the family court. Forensic mental health is a major consideration for professionals in a range of fields, including medicine, law, nursing, criminology, psychology, occupational therapy and social work.

The Master of Forensic Mental Health was established in response to a local need for trained professionals to work in this expanding field. As a specialist in reproductive health, you’ll have the opportunity to explore careers as a GP, a family planning practitioner or a specialist gynaecologist working in menopause and infertility. You can also specialise in nursing and counselling or as a biological scientist.  

Complications with HIV/STIs, infertility and unplanned pregnancy are consistent health issues that require addressing through new reproductive technologies and specialised professionals. This degree will give you a better understanding of the challenges and issues surrounding sexual and reproductive health around the world.
