The Bachelor of Creative Industries is one of Australia’s most industry-connected degrees. This innovative, hands-on degree allows you to tailor your studies to your interests and career objectives. The Bachelor of Business (Property) is the longest-running degree of its type in Australia, and the only one of its kind in South Australia. You will learn about property investment, development, valuation, management, agency and property research. 

As a property professional you will gather and analyse information to help you make informed decisions and offer practical advice about the use and management of property. 

The Master of Finance (Financial Planning) program is recognised as an approved program by Financial Adviser Standards, The Treasury and will equip you with the education requirements to practise as a qualified financial adviser.

What you'll learn

The Bachelor of Business (Property) degree starts with core courses in areas such as analytics, accounting and economic theory. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals that you can apply to a range of careers. 

In your specialisation you will focus on property valuation, development and investment. Specific areas include building evaluation, planning and land use, property law and economics, property practice, investment and development, and entrepreneurship.

A master’s degree is an opportunity to sharpen your technical ability, legal knowledge and professional expertise. Aside from learning new and relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice, you’ll also enhance your skills in building and managing client relationships – a critical focus area for future financial advisers.

The Master of Professional Accounting will prepare you for practice as a professional accountant. You will develop analytical, general business management and critical problem-solving skills, and gain a comprehensive understanding of accounting practice.

Your studies will focus on financial and management accounting, finance, commercial law, taxation law and auditing. You’ll study contemporary research and real-life case studies with the opportunity to complete an industry placement in Australia or overseas. You will graduate well-equipped for a global career and knowledgeable in areas such as accounting, tax, financial management and public practice.

What you'll learn
In the Master of Professional Accounting you will study five core courses and nine accounting specialisation courses. You will gain a solid grounding in the latest accounting methods by studying areas in auditing, taxation, financial and management accounting and corporate finance. You will also study two electives as part of your studies. One of your elective options is a 100+ hour industry placement either in Australia or overseas.

In the Master of Management (Tourism and Event Management) degree, you will learn contemporary management skills and study areas such as project management and the principles and practice of tourism. In your marketing specialisation you’ll then focus on areas such as:

In your law studies you can undertake a Community Justice Project, practice advocacy and negotiation, or gain industry experience through participation in our Legal Advice Clinic or a professional placement. 

In your arts studies you can enjoy flexibility through your choice of 2 Arts Majors from the list of Bachelor of Arts majors. The expertise you gain in two arts-related areas, in addition to your law studies, will further improve your employment prospects.

What you'll learn

This degree is made up of 40 courses. You will do 24 courses in law and 16 courses in arts.        

Laws (Honours)

As a UniSA Law student, you’ll gain valuable skills from day one, including in reasoning, reporting, analysis, negotiation, communication and advocacy. You will also experience what it's like to argue a case and provide legal advice.

Throughout your degree you will study core courses that teach you the fundamental legal concepts that underpin the Australian legal system. Courses such as torts, contracts, criminal law and constitutional law will give you a good understanding of basic legal principles.

Our Law program also features courses that build your leadership skills, intercultural communication, project management and capacity for community engagement.

You will have the opportunity to have practical learning experiences, including mooting, negotiation, and witness examination; ensuring you’ll be prepared for legal practice upon graduation.

Arts

In this unique arts degree you can select two majors, further developing skills and knowledge in two distinct - but potentially complementary - disciplines. Studying a double major increases your employment prospects. You will also graduate with writing, presentation, digital, communication, research and problem solving skills that can be transferred across a range of roles and are highly regarded by prospective employers.

You will choose your two arts majors from one of these specialisations:

• Applied Linguistics: develop an in-depth understanding of human language through the integration of theoretical and applied perspectives, with a strong practical, community and industry focus.
• Creative Writing and Literature: combine critical engagement with literary theory in a complementary exploration of creative writing techniques across a range of genres.
• Cultural Studies: explore the complex and diverse economic, cultural, social, historical and political legacies that influence modern-day society. 
• English Language*: develop advanced level English skills and gain intercultural expertise to work in a variety of countries and contexts.
• History and Global Politics: explore the patterns and processes that have shaped our societies over time and help you analyse and predict events in our contemporary world.
• Languages (French, Italian, Japanese, English as an Additional Language): develop the knowledge and skills to express yourself in a major world language in the context of linguistic and cultural diversity.
• Psychology: develop a broad knowledge of psychological science including psychology, mental health, social services and human resources.
• Sociology: develop the skills to identify trends and structures in society as they relate to social problems that emerge from cultural, political and economic change.

This degree will develop your knowledge of the global business environment and enable you to maximise your career development opportunities and employment prospects. The two year program comprises 16 courses, including 4 electives and an industry placement/project.  You will start with seven core courses common to all specialisations in the IMBA. Through these you will develop advanced skills and expertise in areas of international management including:

This industry-accredited degree will provide you with a strong foundation of knowledge in accounting combined with business, taxation, auditing, finance and sustainability.
