What you'll learn

Throughout your degree, you will have many opportunities to engage in practical learning experiences including mooting, negotiation, and witness examination. You will also engage in a Community Justice Project, ensuring you’ll be prepared for legal practice upon graduation.

This degree incorporates core courses in business which industry consider fundamental when embarking on a sport and recreation management career. These core courses will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals such as economics and accounting, entrepreneurship and business intelligence.

In your law studies you can undertake a Community Justice Project, practice advocacy and negotiation, or gain industry experience through participation in our Legal Advice Clinic or a professional placement. You’ll also be involved in mock-trials in our moot court, learning what it’s like to act as an advocate and argue a case before a judge. 

In your tourism and event management studies you will prepare for a fast-paced career in these growing industries. You’ll develop an understanding of the field from a global perspective, and study a broad range of practical, real-world issues with a chance to get involved in running events.

This degree is made up of 40 courses. You will do 24 courses in law and 16 courses in tourism and event management.

Laws (Honours)

Sport and Recreation Management

This degree provides a balance of courses in psychology theory, counselling, workplace culture, and staff health and wellbeing. You will graduate with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively support and counsel staff and build staff recruitment, retention, and training and development strategies.

What you'll learn

This degree combines management theory with business intelligence. You will gain an in-depth understanding of advanced data analytics for business and study specialised areas such as machine learning for business professionals and data visualisation and communication. You will explore the latest data analytics techniques and delve into the future of big data. 

What you'll learn
The Master of Management (Business Analytics) comprises of 12 courses. You will complete four management courses, and six Business Analytics specialisation courses.

This degree has a strong focus on experience-based learning. You will have access to practical-based courses which use simulated financial markets in the Finance Trading Room to enhance your learning and engage in real world practical tasks in specialised fields in Finance. You can also choose to enhance your business consulting skills and experience through a professional business placement in Australia or overseas.

You’ll then branch out into your specialisation, and learn the latest in areas such as macroeconomics, economics of public policy and analysis; portfolio and fund management; and international currency and banking markets. You can also embark on an overseas study tour, undertake an industry placement, or work on an industry-related research project.

The Master of Finance will explore areas such as financial theory and markets, investment management, corporate finance as well as econometrics.
 

The UniSA Master of Business Administration (MBA) has been designed for experienced managers and enterprising leaders. It has a strong practical focus on senior management decision-making and embeds the latest in management and leadership research.

What you'll learn
The MBA degree comprises eight compulsory core courses, three electives and a final capstone experience. The MBA academic year is divided into four study periods of 10 weeks each. Courses are delivered in the evenings over the 10-week period, or can be studied in intensive mode if you require more flexibility.

All MBA courses have an applied focus. They draw on real-life business case studies, and you are encouraged to draw on your own industry and workplace-based scenarios for assessment tasks.
