Western’s Bachelor of Nursing This program prepares graduates for eligibility to apply for registration throughout Australia as a registered nurse. This degree focuses on the science that underpins physical activity and exercise, and how it can be used to design, implement and evaluate exercise programs. Throughout your study, you will gain valuable practical experience while having access to state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated exercise and sport science labs, and sports venues.

In this program, you will learn how to work with people from a range of fitness levels and ages. This includes high-performance through general health and fitness, rehabilitation and management of chronic disease through exercise.

Areas of study you can choose from include biometrics, exercise physiology, exercise prescription, motor control and sports psychology. Animal science

Interactions between people and animals are increasing due to our reliance on animals for companionship and food production. This major will enable you to develop a deep understanding of these issues, through studies of animal behaviour, animal health and welfare, animal nutrition, animal production, animal reproduction, and human-animal interactions. You will have access to diverse on-campus animal facilities including reptiles, native mammals, sheep, cattle and deer and off-campus organisations such as wildlife parks, zoos and farms.
