Materials

Materials engineers are concerned with the highly technological and dynamic process of understanding, developing, and applying materials (metals, polymers, ceramics, composites) to a range of engineering problems. Biomedical engineering applies principles and practices from engineering to medicine and biology to design and develop new technology and equipment for healthcare. Students studying this major will undertake subjects in advanced signal processing, biomedical electronics, human physiology, biomedical data, statistics and images in addition to advanced robotics.
