This program combines tourism, event management, social science, business and marketing subjects to prepare graduates for professional roles in tourism, events, and the visitor economy. Students can choose from a suite of majors, including: environmental management, event and festival management, heritage, marketing, place management, planning, sport and sustainability.

Sport, Event and Tourism

This major brings together sport, event and tourism management subjects to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to organise and manage sport and recreation events. Students will also learn about the social and cultural significance of sport, tourism and sporting events, and their unique role in the visitor economy.

Digital Health

The Digital Health specialisation combines the opportunity to study contemporary issues associated with information management in healthcare organisations with the integration of a sound understanding of the impact of digital health, as well as the development and implementation of projects and programs relating to this growing and critical area in both organisations and professional practice. The specialisation would be of interest to clinicians, health management and science (information engineering) professionals, and personnel working in health corporate roles with responsibilities in health data and information. Students in this specialisation can further focus their studies in aspects of innovation and entrepreneurship, and research and development in the digital health space. Today, to implement technology, practising professionals need to not only have knowledge and skills in information and communications technology, but they also need to understand the context in which computer technology can best be selected, applied and implemented. This major covers theories and technologies of big data with applications to information systems. Students completing this major will possess and apply the technical skills for managing large volumes and varieties of data in the information systems context.

This major covers topics in the traditional areas of calculus and algebra. Single and multivariable calculus are covered, as well as topics in linear algebra, analysis and mathematical modelling. This major is available to all undergraduate students and may meet the NSW Institute of Teachers accreditation requirements for teaching Mathematics as a first subject in NSW state high schools.

The Human Resource Management Major is designed for people who seek careers in human resource management and industrial relations.

Graduates’ careers focus on enhancing the value of human and social capital through supporting employee engagement for many different kinds of organisations, market-oriented and community-oriented organisations and many kinds of people.
