Co-operative Education Program (Optional)

• Co-op provides eligible Business Administration Diploma students with an opportunity to gain work-related experience for one term through an assisted job search. Co-op offers students relevant experience to boost employment opportunities, develop professional skills and experience, network with employers, and earn money.  
• The Co-op Work Term process aligns with the competitive nature of job search. To be accepted into the Co-op Program, applicants must meet all eligibility criteria and follow the application process. Candidates are responsible for demonstrating a high level of professional and program expectations. Not all students accepted into the Co-op Program are guaranteed a Co-op Work Term position. 

The diploma teaches the students how to support and manage the cases of addiction in Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities. The course covers Aboriginal history, Aboriginal culture, and the needs of their communities and other populations and includes nineteen courses and two community practicums.

The Information Technology Systems (ITS) Diploma program provides the students with the software and hardware skills that are required for the generation, protection of digital information, retrieval, storage, and transmission. The program equips the graduates with the practical skills necessary to enter into the IT sector, gain the skills required to troubleshoot technical problems, deliver quality technical support, communicate with clients, executives, summarize solutions in technical reports and prepares them for the completion of industry-recognized certificates.

The Business Administration Certificate examines general business concepts and focuses on developing introductory skills in accounting principles, management, organizational behaviour, and marketing. The students of the program are taught to support the individuals, the families and the communities dealing with addiction. The program lasts for eight months and helps the students develop the skills to support the negative behavior related to addiction. The curriculum involves classroom discussions and projects, and the focus is placed on learning to identify and manage addictions. 

The students who are registered in the full-time Addiction Studies Certificate program have to write the Test of Workplace Essential Skills (TOWES) assessment in their first semester.

The topics covered in thirty-week Veterinary Office Assistant Certificate program include common health issues of companion animals, veterinary terminology, clinical assisting skills in animal handling, veterinary computer software, financial management, client care, surgical instrument preparation and financial management.
