Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement. You will study anatomy and physiology of body movement, including issues related to the maintenance, rehabilitation or enhancement of movement and performance.

Our Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (BScKin) degree provides a highly competent science background, with an emphasis on research skills and theoretical knowledge. This degree is designed for those who wish to concentrate on the science of human movement and will prepare you to meet the requirements for post-graduate degree programs in a variety of allied health professions.

This program explores issues in popular culture from a multidisciplinary perspective. You’ll take a series of critical and historical courses examining a wide range of mass-mediated and non-mass-mediated forms of popular culture.

These include television, popular music, gaming, advertising, social media, sports, fairs and carnivals, literature, and film in their political, historical, economic and aesthetic contexts. Courses in communication, film, Canadian studies and politics will give you an excellent understanding of the world of popular forms, both contemporary and historical.

Our program provides a unique foundation in business practices for computing professionals. The program begins with core courses in computer programming, basic data structures and computer organization, augmented by courses in accounting, management and economics.
In upper years, you’ll study databases, advanced data structures, operating systems, computing ethics, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing and organizational behaviour, and software engineering.

Study the cultural production, reception, and interpretation of the fine and performing arts.

You’ll examine and relate elements of Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts, Music, Dance, Interactive Arts and Science, Media and Communication Studies, Popular Culture, Film Studies and Canadian Studies. You may sample from these diverse disciplines to create a customized program.

The concentration in Cultural Management, with courses from the Goodman School of Business, is ideal for those wishing to work as cultural managers in diverse fields of arts and culture.

A cooperation between STAC, History and Geography/Tourism Studies, the concentration in Cultural Transmission and Heritage Studies engages students in cross-disciplinary curatorial projects.

The concentration in Languages, Arts and Culture allows you to combine language acquisition (French, German, Italian, Spanish) in the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures with interdisciplinary work in arts and culture.

Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour, and the program at Brock offers a diverse approach to this exciting field of study.

We offer courses that cover a variety of topics in Psychology, including: Social Processes (e.g., Development of Deception, Psychology of Prejudice and Discrimination, Human Sexuality), Brain and Cognition (e.g., Cognitive Neuroscience, Human Neuropsychology, Neuropsychopharmacology), and Applied Psychology (e.g., Counselling and Psychotherapy, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology).

Our Department has an expertise in examining psychological processes and behaviour across the lifespan, from infancy to old age. Studying Psychology is applicable to a wide variety of career paths such as those in research and industry, counselling and clinical psychology, business, government, and education.

Through lectures, seminars, labs, and one-on-one mentoring, students gain expertise in human behaviour and job-related skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, communication, problem solving, project management, research design, and data management and analysis. Our department also requires that students complete specific courses that will help with career preparation (e.g., skill development and identification, exploring career opportunities, job searches and interviewing skills, statistics and data management), as well as a wealth of opportunities to learn outside of the classroom.

Co-op is available with any of our 4-year degree options, where students will complete 3 separate work terms over the 4 years. Students can also gain applied experiences by participating in the Psych Society, working as a teaching assistant or becoming a research assistant in one of our internationally renowned laboratories. These experiences will enrich your studies and help you to launch your career.

This program is an innovative answer to your demands as an international student, as it combines an intensive Business English program with Canadian accounting knowledge and also addresses the demands of a business world that needs accountants who can think critically, communicate effectively and respond to challenges that arise from around the globe. Your success as an MPAcc grad is due to our focus on a strong, integrative approach to accounting.

We have some of the most advanced equipment in the field. While other schools often reserve the newest equipment exclusively for research, all of Brock’s facilities are used for both teaching and research.

Our commitment to hands-on learning makes our graduates, especially skilled and adept scientists. You’ll be a key partner in our research activities, participating in special research courses and paid summer research. You might even have the opportunity to co-author a publication.

You’ll be on the forefront of research in this exciting and knowledge-based industry. You’ll take courses in biological sciences, chemistry, biochemistry and biotechnology, exploring the use of living organisms to produce goods and services for practical and industrial purposes.

Career opportunities in biotechnology are expanding rapidly due to a dramatic increase in global market demands for biotechnology products.

As a modern biotechnologist, you’ll study areas such as recombinant DNA technology, genetic and protein engineering, cell fusion, and gene cloning and expression.
