The program spans for four semesters and is for the students who have already completed their university degree, and the completion of the program provides the students with a BEd degree and an Ontario Certificate of Qualification and Registration. 

The courses are taught under the supervision of associate teachers, practicum advisors and practicum instructors who work with the teacher candidates in schools and provide them with multiple opportunities to personalize their learning experience via professional development courses. During the course, the students are placed in partner schools so as to gain the necessary practical experience and knowledge required in their line of profession. 

The university offers the following programs to its students:

• Primary/Junior program: Certifies to teach Kindergarten through Grade 6.
• Junior/Intermediate program: Certifies to teach Grades 4 through 10, emphasizing elementary school.
• Intermediate/Senior program: Certifies to teach Grades 7 through 12, emphasizing secondary school.

Lectures, laboratories and field studies will introduce you to the breadth of Biological Sciences, after which you can design your program from courses in biochemistry; cell biology; developmental biology; animal, plant and microbial physiology; genetics; molecular biology; neurobiology; ecology; animal behaviour and bioinformatics.

Our Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program combines professionally oriented business courses with studies in social sciences, humanities and mathematics and science

A combination of case studies, experiential learning, small classroom lectures, group projects and independent work will help you develop key business skills, including oral and written communication skills; ethical, analytical and problem-solving skills; and critical reasoning skills. These skills are in high demand from employers.

You may tailor your degree to meet your personal goals. In your first two years, you’ll receive a solid foundation in the functional areas of business along with knowledge of the Canadian and global business environment through a core set of courses. The Department of Communication, Popular Culture and Film offers four separate programs of study in Business Communication, Media and Communication Studies, Film Studies, and Popular Culture. A four-year program leading to the Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours degree, a 4 Year BA with Major, and a three-year program leading to the BA Pass degree is offered in all four programs. Majors in the Department may complete a Concentration in Digital Culture. Minor programs are available in Digital Culture, Film Studies, Media Studies and Popular Culture for majors in other Departments/Centres as well as a Certificate in Film Studies. In addition, the Department is involved in programs with community colleges which offer students the opportunity to earn a BA Honours Communication Studies, BA Honours Popular Culture or a BA with Major Film Studies degree and a college diploma or certificate.

Communication Studies
Business Communication
Students in Business Communication must attain a minimum 65 percent major average to continue in the program. Business Communication is an interdisciplinary program combining the study of communication with a study of some aspects of business. The program aims to equip the student with a sound theoretical basis for analysing and practicing communication within the business environment.

Media and Communication Studies
Media and Communication Studies is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the impact of media and communication in the creation of meaning, identity and social change, emphasizing the study of media content, audiences and institutions in their political, economic, and social contexts in Canada and elsewhere.

Film Studies
Film Studies is a sequence of critical and historical courses that examine a variety of approaches to film. The courses explore the nature of film language and develop an analytical perspective on film as both an art and a medium. Other courses explore issues and theories in popular culture. Students may have opportunities to engage in media production in selected upper year courses.

Combine your studies and blend the analytical tools of Economics with Political Science’s knowledge of governments and international institutions.

Economic forces drive many vital international issues such as trade, development, globalized investment and production. The key actors are governments and international institutions such as the World Trade Organization and the International Monetary Fund. Economic analysis investigates prices, tradeoffs and opportunity costs.

The international political analysis examines interests, rules and incentives. Issues studied include how economic activity and wealth are distributed, and the effect of governments on these.

This degree prepares you for an exciting career in computer technology by tackling computing from the hardware perspective.

If you like math and physics, love to think and have an urge to take apart your computer to figure out how it works, this cutting-edge program is right for you. The program emphasizes practical aspects of computing and the use of computer-based and other solid-state electronic devices in control, manufacturing and research.

You’ll enrich your academic studies by applying the concepts you have learned in class to your work experience. You may sample a variety of work placements to develop a greater awareness of your future career path and interests.

Accounting at the Goodman School of Business has a national reputation for excellence. In fact, Goodman was recently re-accredited to the master’s level by Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Ontario under the new national CPA accreditation standards.

If you want a career as a professional accountant, know that our program is designed with the rigorous academic courses and professional orientation the CPA designation demands.

Accounting co-op at Goodman prepares you to complete the work experience necessary to obtain the CPA designation, including a public accounting licence. Obtaining the CPA designation requires 30 months of professional work experience. Our students work in a wide variety of locations throughout Ontario and acquire 16-20 months of work experience prior to graduation

Studies concentrate on various aspects of solid-state and materials research, from superconductors to soft-condensed matter systems. Our undergraduate students are involved in research — some have even published papers before graduation.
