Work Experience
You will gain practical skills and experience by combining your academic studies with relevant work experience in the Internship designation. You'll graduate with practical work experience and employer references. Employers value internship as a source of eager and well-prepared talent and often use the internship process as a means of recruiting permanent employees.

The Cybersecurity & Network Support Technician certificate program has a practical career-oriented approach, giving you the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to be able to install, repair, secure and maintain computers, servers and computer networks.

The demand for security professionals with skills to protect systems from attack continues to grow. Completing this diploma program will not only give you the skills to maintain computer and networks systems but will give you the ability to design and configure these systems and optimise them to protect them from attack. You'll have the skills to assess and deploy Cloud based solutions in a secure manner and monitor, assess, and respond appropriately to security events on any of the network systems.

Skills you'll gain
You don't need any previous knowledge of computers or networks to enrol in this program. By the time you graduate, you'll possess a wide variety of skills, such as:

• Installation and maintenance of complex computer networking systems;
• Maintenance and repair of personal computers;
• Maintenance and repair of server systems;
• Implementation of workstation security;
• Security analyst - monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing and responding to security events;
• Configuration and setup of advanced servers including cloud based
• Technical sales support.

You'll gain a solid business education and develop the practical skills that you will need to be successful in a range of marketing roles. 

Year 1: In the first year, you'll work through introductory–level courses in accounting, finance, economics, and marketing. Exit the program now with a Certificate in Business Administration or continue onto the year 2.
Year 2: In your second year, you'll work through marketing research, creative selling, and entrepreneurship courses. Exit the program now with a Diploma in Business Administration-Marketing Option.

Co-op/Internship options
To be eligible to participate in Internship or Co-op, you need to successfully complete a minimum of 8 first year courses, obtain a minimum GPA of 3.0, and complete the workshop series COOP WEP, prior to your first work term (Internship) and all subsequent work terms (Co-op).

Design a better world
This Access program is for those who don’t yet have the requirements to enter the popular Mechanical Engineering Technology or Engineering Graphics Technician programs. Upgrade your math, physics and English skills while taking relevant and important courses in mechanical systems and architectural design. After completing the Access program, you will receive a certificate and will also have a guaranteed seat in the next intake of the Mechanical Engineering Technology or Engineering Graphics Technician program.

Social workers are interested in social change and passionate about social justice. If you have a desire to help people in times of need or crisis, a career in social work may be the right path for you!

What you'll learn
Camosun College offers a two-year associate degree designed to help you pursue a career in social work. Your associate degree will include a a range of integrated courses, including sociology, psychology, women's studies, Indigenous studies, social policy and English.

As an associate degree student, you will have access to excellent academic advice; you'll have a definite learning path, but with room to explore along the way.

Choose from transfer courses in more than 30 different subject areas. These courses will transfer to at least one BC post-secondary institution.

Whether you want to take one or two courses at a time, or register for full-time studies with four or five courses each semester, the University Transfer program gives you the freedom to design your own timetable. Generally speaking, you'll probably start by taking 100-level courses (first-year) and follow up with corresponding 200-level (second-year) courses.

Foundation training in music theory and performance
This one-year (8 month) program will help you upgrade your skills in theory/rudiments, provide you with one-one studio instruction, and prepare you for further postsecondary music studies.

The Certificate in Music Creativity and Performance Foundations is a one-year course of studies and is designed for students intending to pursue studies in music at the postsecondary level, and who may require additional learning, including theory/rudiments and one-to-one studio instruction.

With a focus on performance theory, music creativity and performance practice, you'll master the foundational elements of your chosen area of musical study and have guided opportunities to explore aspects of creativity and practise in music.

You'll receive intensive one-to-one studio instruction on your chosen principal instrument with the goal of:

• Introducing you to new repertoire
• Enhancing your practicing skills and technical fluency
• Exploring creative expression
• Developing excellence in many aspects of performance

What you'll learn
This full time diploma program provide will provide you with the knowledge, skills, judgements and attitudes required to practice as a practical nurse within a variety of health care settings. The program will prepare you to care for individuals and families at multiple life stages in acute, complex, and community care settings. Graduates of the program are eligible to write the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) to apply for licensure to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in British Columbia.

In the Practical Nursing Program you will study from the same body of nursing knowledge as registered nurses (RNs) and registered psychiatric nurses (RPNs) with a more focused approach in foundational knowledge, critical thinking, and clinical judgment appropriate to the role of a practical nurse. This program will provide you with the knowledge, skills, judgment, and abilities to contribute in all phases of care from prevention to acute treatment and management, to long term and palliative care.

Competent
Practical nurses integrate knowledge, skills, behaviours, attitudes, critical thinking and clinical judgment expected of an entry-level practical nurse to provide safe, competent, and ethical care. Working in collaboration with other health care team members, you will provide direct nursing care and in acute care hospitals as well as complex care and community care settings.

Professional
Practical nurses are health care professionals who care for a wide range of clients at all stages of life. As a professional nurse, you will work within your own scope of practice, standards of practice and code of ethics.  Practical nurses are frontline nurses involved in the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care and are a valuable member of the health care team

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Hands-on learning—literally!
Our four-year degree combines both athletic therapy and exercise therapy into one unique and comprehensive program.
You'll have the opportunity to practice and refine your field and clinical skills. Starting in second year, you'll have accumulated a minimum of 1,200 hours of practical experience.

What to expect
The Bachelor of Athletic & Exercise Therapy is a four-year program located at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence on the Interurban campus. The program includes a minimum of 1,200 clinical and fieldwork hours.
Year 1:- In your first year, you'll cover the basics of human anatomy, psychology and health. You'll also be introduced to a range of sport and fitness activities including skiing, kayaking and cycling.
Year 2:- In second year, you'll do your first two practical placements. You'll start learning about injury prevention and treatment, as well as health maintenance.
Year 3:- In third year you'll begin to learn about injury assessment and rehabilitation. You'll also be introduced to the concepts of health and fitness promotion. In addition to classroom learning, direct patient care will be a part of your daily regimen.
Year 4:- In fourth year all of your theoretical and clinical knowledge comes together. In your final clinical placements, you'll have greater independence and responsibility, and be able to demonstrate the concepts of manual therapy, research methods, and ergonomics.
