Graduates of any Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Arts program can complete this hands-on, intensive program in one year.  Expand your knowledge and skill set working in real-world settings. A 210-hour field placement gives you a practical application for your training with the possibility of securing permanent employment. This program is designed in collaboration with Nipissing University’s Faculty of Education.

Students work with clients from the community on-site in Canadore’s Dental Hygiene Clinic, where they offer free dental hygiene services as they put their clinical theory into practice. Graduates are in high demand, finding employment in dental offices, hospitals, and research institutes. This program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada.

Learn advanced processes for this highly specialized field including: advanced video editing, audio mixing, ADR and colour grading. Canadore offers several opportunities for experiential learning through industry partners and movies and television series being filmed in the local region. Graduates of this one-year certificate program can go on to work in a number of areas including film, video production and television, to name a few.

This 10-month intensive program is intended for graduates of university degree programs in the Humanities or Social Sciences or diploma programs in a related human services field. [Mental Health and Addictions, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Nursing, Gerontology, Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Community and Justice Services or others to be determined by the Program Co-ordinator.]

Applicants must have completed 40 hours of direct experience with clients in a social agency. 

Following the eight-month in-class portion, students will have a two-month field placement opportunity in a community agency.

Occupational Therapist and physiotherapist assistant work with the people who have limited functionality because of injury, illness, disability or aging. By enrolling into the Diploma in Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist Assistant program, students will be helpful to gain hands on experience and to develop the skills which are required to work in clinical and community based system under the guidance of registered and excellent occupational therapist and physiotherapists.  

The program helps to develop skills in the areas of anatomy and physiology, rehabilitation practice, mental health concepts and techniques, occupational or physiotherapy skills, therapeutic exercise, function and movement specialized training, and human lifespan development.  By successfully undergoing the program understudies will be able to find employment in the sectors like hospitals, senior living centers, clinics, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and extended care facilities.

Prepare for a leadership role in a variety of health care settings and learn all aspects of health care operations and concepts as they relate to a multi-disciplinary team. This one year program will prepare you to be responsive to different cultures and behaviours in a number of situations and environments.
