• Describe the motion picture production process and demonstrate an introductory understanding of the roles of producer, director, production designer, writer and various crew positions on the set.
• Successfully demonstrate at an entry level the scripting, development, production design, pre-production, production, post-production and delivery of short dramatic narrative independent films in a collaborative manner utilizing professional standard communication skills, protocols and techniques.
• Apply appropriate management practices and procedures including the computational, intuitive, creative and technical skills involved in screenplay development, breakdown, scheduling and budgeting for small-scale projects.
• Demonstrate keys to success, including attitude, teamwork, set etiquette, human/public relations, professional behaviour and self-marketing in the established and emerging motion picture industry sectors.
• Understand how aesthetic engagement can enable them to make cultural contributions through the effective use of media.

The Business Administration Certificate Program teaches students basic management skills that have practical value in a wide variety of jobs.

The program requires successful completion of one required business course, two specialty business courses and a choice of three business elective courses (three-credits each) chosen from the School of Business course offerings.

Credit from the certificate program can ladder into the Business Administration Diploma and/or the Bachelor of Business Administration.

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) offers students a range of academic and education courses that blend theory and practice in the early years, engaging with research and theory.
Three core threads are intertwined throughout the degree: Curriculum, Childhoods, and Leadership and Advocacy. Students are invited to engage in critically reflective practice, working to create classrooms of social justice and equity for children and families.

Courses in the first two years meet the requirements of MCFD for:

• ECE Certificate to Practice
• Infant/Toddler Certificate to Practice, and/or
• Special Needs Certificate to Practice
• The ECCE degree is a pathway to elementary teacher education programs at SFU and UBC.

The Faculty of Business and Professional Studies at the School of Business, Capilano University offers a two year long diploma in Business. The said course is great for students who wish to work in business management and operate a business venture of their own. Divided into a total of four semesters, the first two semesters provide a solid foundation and basic knowledge about business administration and the practical skills required. The subjects taught during the first year include accounting, finance, communications, sales, marketing and organizational behavior. Biology is the science that deals with the physiology of being. It has explained and helps gain knowledge about a number of things such as evolution, flora and fauna, environment and ecosystems, human body and its functioning. The Associate of Science degree in Biology prepares a student for university education and helps them gain knowledge about the field.

The Associate of Science degree helps to prepare students for the provincial Associate Degree. The above mentioned degree helps students gain access to a package of well rounded; academically sound courses and also a university transfer to great BC Universities. The two year course includes a number of subjects and disciplines a student has to study. The first year involves a more general set of courses in subjects such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, English so on and so forth. The second year involves a number of more specific studies such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, ecology, cell biology and many such subjects pertaining to biology. 

Students have the choice of scheduling their courses and curating their own timetable. Students can study full time or part time as per their own discretion. This ability of scheduling one’s own time table helps students go for other activities and manage their academics at the same time.
