The School of Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University offers students a comprehensive two yearlong undergraduate diploma in the field of 2D Animation & Visual Development. This program is modeled on the concepts of drawing, art, design and classical animation techniques. Students learn about the basic principles underlying animation and its techniques. The faculty at Capilano is resplendent with professionals and experts who guide students at every step of the ay and help them gain professional experience. 

The visual development and animation industry is a very lucrative and fulfilling choice of career in the modern world and hence, students are prepared to face any challenges and trained in the best possible ways. In the program, you'll train in many key areas, including behaviour principles, assessments and applications, supporting individuals with ASD and their families, assessment and intervention planning for children with ASD and using applied behaviour analysis with adults who have ASD and other developmental disabilities. 

Capilano University offers its students a two year long baccalaureate diploma in the field of Technical Theatre. The aforementioned course is curated for students who wish to take up theatre and drama as their career choice. This program does not deal exclusively with acting and performance but also weighs on the other aspects of theatre such as the art of lighting, sound, scenic construction, prop making, scenic paint and stage management to produce numerous productions.

The Diploma in Digital Visual Effects is a two year long undergraduate certificate program at Capilano University, School of Motion Picture Arts. The students of this program are trained and educated to design visual effects for films and television. With faculty members from high-end film, broadcast and software companies, Capilano University has excellent staff members who guide and advise the student at every step of the way during the course. 

The students of the Visual Effects diploma are required to work in collaboration with professionals from numerous other fields such as film, documentary, animation, costuming and cinematography programs for an even richer experience. Capilano University has a comprehensive program for international students called Early Childhood Care & Education Pathway which spans over a period of 1 year. This program is designed as a result of collaboration between English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program. This program is specially designed for students who study at the top two levels of the EAP program. 

This program is exclusively designed for international students in order to work with their English speaking skills and help them gain credentials. The Pathway program allows students to begin getting credit for an ECCE credential which is beneficial when they wish to take up further post-secondary education. Upon successful completion of the Pathway Program, you will have earned 9 credits you can apply toward your ECCE credential.

The two-year Accounting Assistant Diploma program gives students practical accounting skills, computer competence and basic management expertise that ensure success in the workplace.
