The Health Care Assistant (HCA) program combines theory courses, lab skills and clinical practicums in real-world health care settings. Students learn to provide personal care to clients and residents in complex care, specialized dementia care, selected acute care settings and in the community. Classes are taught by experienced health professionals who share their stories about clinical practice.

The HCA certificate is an 8-month full-time program offered in an accelerated program that students can complete in 7 months of study.

The Diploma in Digital Visual Effects is a two year long undergraduate certificate program at Capilano University, School of Motion Picture Arts. The students of this program are trained and educated to design visual effects for films and television. With faculty members from high-end film, broadcast and software companies, Capilano University has excellent staff members who guide and advise the student at every step of the way during the course. 

The students of the Visual Effects diploma are required to work in collaboration with professionals from numerous other fields such as film, documentary, animation, costuming and cinematography programs for an even richer experience. The Bachelor of Performing Arts is a four year long baccalaureate program offered by the School of Performing Arts at Capilano University. The BPA program is co-administered by Capilano University as well as Douglas College and is one of a kind in the entire country. This is an interdisciplinary performing arts degree and is crucial in shaping the future of the artists of tomorrow. 

The main focus of the BPA program is to provide the students practical hands on training and a chance to see things go about in the real world. For anyone who wishes to become a professional performing artist this course is perfect. The various career options available after this degree are performing artist, event manager, arts manager, administrator or cultural entrepreneur. Through this program students gain substantial experience in the professional world thereby helping them gain opportunities for their future. 

The Diploma in Musical Theatre at Capilano University is a three year long baccalaureate program that is exclusively designed for the students who wish to take up performing arts as a career option. This course provides students with ample practical opportunities throughout the 6 term long program. Students will refine performance skills in acting, singing, dancing, screen acting, audition techniques, voice-over and learn the business side of the profession.

The Certificate program in Legal Administration Assistant is a one year long undergraduate certificate provided by the School of Legal and Professional Studies at Capilano University. Students who are even remotely interested in the field of law and paralegal studies but do not wish to pursue lawyering as a profession can go for this certificate. The Legal Administrative Assistant program helps the students develop traditional administrative skills as well as legal procedural courses, including: civil and family litigation, wills and probate, corporate law, convincing and mortgaging, and legal office procedures.

Along with complete theoretical knowledge about various practices and concepts underlying law students are guided by a group of expert, highly professional faculty members who supervise and counsel students at every step of the way throughout the program. Along with academic and career guidance, students also get to experience the legal and corporate world by means of a two-week work practicum in a law or government office.

The Advanced Business Administration is a one-year certificate program. In this program, students will gain the basic management skills to start a business career or launch your own business. In the program, you'll take classes in many areas, including business law, entrepreneurship, small business management and marketing.

Upon graduation, you'll be able to ladder your credits into the Business Administration diploma or Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) offers students a range of academic and education courses that blend theory and practice in the early years, engaging with research and theory.
Three core threads are intertwined throughout the degree: Curriculum, Childhoods, and Leadership and Advocacy. Students are invited to engage in critically reflective practice, working to create classrooms of social justice and equity for children and families.

Courses in the first two years meet the requirements of MCFD for:

• ECE Certificate to Practice
• Infant/Toddler Certificate to Practice, and/or
• Special Needs Certificate to Practice
• The ECCE degree is a pathway to elementary teacher education programs at SFU and UBC.

The eight-month Accounting Assistant Certificate program trains students in accounting, bookkeeping, computer applications and office procedures; and prepares students for the workplace.

You'll also participate in a 2-week work practicum with a local company.

• Use their resume, letters of application, interviewing techniques and other job strategies to seek employment and complete a two week practicum placement.

Capilano University offers its students an associate degree in academic and applied psychology. This course offers students the opportunity to learn interpersonal relations, counseling courses, mental health programs and so on. The aforementioned course helps students gain the skills required for them to continue university education in the said field or start a career out of the same field.

The Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology is a two year program with numerous courses in fields such as psychology, English and multiple other courses pertaining to the field of arts. Through this course students have an access to excellent academic advising and counseling services. In lieu of fulfilling the university transfer requirements students can choose psychology courses as electives. Once the students have finished this two year long program, they can transfer to a longer baccalaureate program at other British Columbia education institutions.
