These skills include brakes; pneumatics; hydraulics; electrical, electronics; frames; steering; and suspension. The second year begins with heating, ventilation and air conditioning followed by all aspects of engine and supporting systems. This includes dissembling and rebuilding engines and supporting systems; troubleshooting and repairing fuel injection systems; and diagnosing engine brakes and diesel emission systems. The final semester in the second year includes trailer service; repair and diagnosing of all trailers and related components; powertrains, which speaks to clutches, manual transmission, torque converter, drivelines and automatic transmissions; and final drives and drivelines.
