Dentists, hygienists and patients all rely on professionally trained Dental Assistants. In only 10 months, our Dental Assistant program can prepare you to write the National Dental Assisting Examining Board exam prior to registering with the College of Dental Surgeons of BC.

Our spring Preventative Clinic sees over 300 patients each year, providing you with plenty of hands-on experience. You will also take part in two three-week practical experiences in a dental clinic which will further prepare you for your rewarding career.

This two-semester program exposes you to a combination of drawing, painting, sculpture, creative writing, and an overview of art history. The Fine Arts certificate program provides the opportunity to explore your creative side. Students take required courses which give them an overview of history, philosophy and practice.

Some courses in the program introduce you to an overview of history, philosophy and practice while others let you explore and develop your talents in creative writing, acting, painting, drawing, or sculpture.

Our Dual Admission agreement with University of Lethbridge means you can complete the Fine Art certificate at the College, enjoying small class sizes and lower tuition, before moving directly into your guaranteed seat at University of Lethbridge in one of their Bachelor of Fine Arts programs.

Financial Services is a two-year diploma program which opens the door to career opportunities in the financial services field, or prepares you to continue on to a Bachelor of Business Administration program. Our Tourism Management Certificate program prepares you for a career in resorts, hotels, and other tourism operations. The program includes courses in tourism, business management, and related specialty courses.

You can choose to take the certificate completely online and work while going to school – or you can take the program in person at our Cranbrook campus. The Rockies are right outside the door, giving you the opportunity to blend lifestyle and learning in one of the most spectacular places on Earth – and one of BC’s hottest tourism destinations!

You will also have the opportunity to participate in a work placement to gain hands-on experience in a tourism related business.

You can choose to take the one-year certificate program completely online and work while going to school – or you can take the program in person at our Cranbrook campus.
Industry-recognized certifications in the program include Foodsafe, Worldhost, CPR-C, Occupational First Aid Level 1, and Serving it Right.
This program covers a broad range of courses directly related to the tourism industry, as well as management-oriented courses such as accounting, communications, business management, programming, and marketing.
You will have the opportunity to participate in a work placement to gain hands-on experience in a tourism related business.

College of the Rockies - Cranbrook Campus provides undergraduate students a Diploma in Recreation Management which spans over a period of two years. Anyone who is interested in outdoor activities, tourism as well as community relationships, this diploma is perfect for them. Under this program students receive experiential and outdoor education. This diploma is a life changing experience for students who have the opportunity of combining their career and interests in the dame program.
 
The faculty at College of the Rockies has designed a comprehensive curriculum, classroom interaction activities, class tours and work field trips with well educated, expert faculty members at the helm of the program, guiding students at every step of the way. Students are allowed to engage in activities that sharpen their skill sets, fostering community building, studying the major theoretical concept and a positive attitude in order to build a bright future. The Recreation Management program helps prepare students to become leaders in the recreation and leisure services industry. This program opens up a number of professional doors for students such as event management experience, recreation programming simulation, inclusive recreation programming, job shadow assignments, guest speakers, volunteer assignments, site visits to recreation facilities and applied research.

The Social Work Pre-Major consists of courses primarily focused on social sciences and humanities. Completion of the two-year Associate Degree prepares you for competitive admission into Year 3 in a Social Work degree program at many BC and Alberta institutions. This pre-major provides the first two full years of study toward your four-year degree. Your social work courses will be taken in the final two years of study.

Are you passionate about exercise, sport, health, and human movement? Consider the Kinesiology program. Kinesiology is the study of the human body in motion and is a growing field that offers a variety of careers and educational opportunities.

All Kinesiology courses are delivered on a semesterized schedule from September to April of each year. Depending on availability of programming, some academic courses may be offered during the spring semester.

Most Kinesiology courses are delivered in the classroom with some available online. The one-year certificate transfers into Kinesiology degree programs throughout Western Canada.
