Our Tourism Management Certificate program prepares you for a career in resorts, hotels, and other tourism operations. The program includes courses in tourism, business management, and related specialty courses.

You can choose to take the certificate completely online and work while going to school – or you can take the program in person at our Cranbrook campus. Our Biology and Medicine Pre-Major Associate degree helps lay out the courses you may need for the first two years of study toward a degree in Biology. This Associate degree also provides the course prerequisites for admission into the UBC School of Medicine while providing two of the first three required years of study before applying to medical school. Education Advisors are available to assist in course selection to ensure all requirements for your particular path are met. Have plans to go to university? As with all of our Business Management programs, the General Management diploma infuses sustainable business practice knowledge throughout your courses. Sustainability is a priority for many in today’s global business environment. Upon completion of the General Management diploma, students are eligible to take advantage of block transfer agreements the College has with many other Canadian colleges and universities. Transfer is available to most Canadian post-secondary institutions on a case-by-case basis. Students can also enter directly into Year 3 of the Bachelor of Business Administration in Sustainable Business Practices degree program at College of the Rockies.

This major was developed for students who wish a high degree of flexibility in their course selection. As well as the required Business Management courses, students may select other specialized areas.

College of the Rockies, Cranbrook offers its students a four year long bachelor of business administration program in Sustainable Business Practices that is specially curated for students who wish to work on responsible and sustainable initiative in a business environment. This program addresses a wide range of environmental and sustainability issue such social risk identification, strategies for improving performance, sustainability issues and personal effectiveness to instigate and lead change. This diploma allows students to study economics, accounting, general management and marketing and develop more specific knowledge in sustainable business practices.

Along with face to face lectures students are also taught through online and hybrid courses ad well as practical, hands on experiences in laboratories. This program works two ways, it provides employment after completion of the aforementioned program and this program also helps in maintaining a green economy which is beneficial for generations to come. Students can work on developing their sustainability planning and reporting skills to help local businesses reduce their impact on the environment. 

With the 9-month Mountain Adventure Skills Training program, 60% of your learning time will be outdoors experiencing the regions amazing adventure lifestyle opportunities while also learning the skills employers want you to know. With 13 certification courses, you’ll be introduced to the knowledge you need to be successful in your dream job.

The Mountain Adventure Skills Training Program (MAST) is designed for full-time students interested in pursuing a one year certificate and meets the requirements of the B.C. Provincial common core curriculum.

The two-year diploma program is delivered in a combination of face-to-face and online courses and is is awarded to students who successfully complete the curriculum, a total of 60 credits. The program is designed to prepare you for a potential career in the field of criminal or social justice or to further post-secondary education such as a bachelor degree and is designed to facilitate maximum transferability to a full degree program after 2 years at College of the Rockies.

In the criminal and social justice diploma program, you will:

• Study theories of human and social behavior, criminal justice system and cultural and institutional roots of crime and deviance
• Learn about oppression and marginalization and will further their understanding of Indigenous peoples and Indigenous knowledge
• Develop effective skills in cross-cultural relations, communication, conflict resolution and crisis intervention.
• Be provided opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills to further your post-secondary education or to prepare for a potential career within the field of criminal and social justice.
