This two-year diploma program will prepare graduates for a number of progressive careers in the diverse field of recreation and leisure services. Throughout the program, students will experience active learning opportunities that connect theory and practice through in-class projects, community connections, and practice placements, making learning engaging and meaningful. As champions of recreation and leisure services, students will provide leadership in designing, implementing, and evaluating inclusive programs for diverse populations (children, youth, adults and seniors). Through social entrepreneurship, students will enhance community wellness, research-informed practices, professional leadership, and interprofessional collaboration.

Career Development Practitioner is a three-semester (one-year) graduate certificate program that prepares graduates to enter the career development sector. The world of work is rapidly changing and new careers are emerging to meet current and future workforce needs. Career Development Professionals provide information, advice, and guidance related to career exploration, skill acquisition, job search, and maintenance. This one-year graduate (three semesters) certificate program provides training to enter and/or advance in the field of career development such as career and employment advisors, career resource specialists, job developers, or career management professionals. This program may also appeal to practitioners working in the field who want to gain additional formal training, job coaching experience, or attain their Career Development Practitioner designation. Graduation from the program provides the full academic component and partial fulfillment of work experience hours for certification by the Career Development Practitioners' Certification Board of Ontario (CDPCBO).

This two-year diploma program is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills to practice evidence-informed hearing healthcare and to function as an integral member of the interprofessional health- care team. Graduates of the program will have demonstrated the necessary patient-focused skills to manage the needs of the hard of hearing. The program provides a rich learning environment that utilizes classroom education, laboratory simulation, various interprofessional exercises, and clinical exposure to hone competency. The course work is designed to ensure the student is capable to assess hearing and provide hearing patients with appropriate rehabilitation options – in particular, the selection and fitting of today’s technologically-advanced hearing aids. Additionally, the course work will prepare the student to manage minor hearing aid and earmold repairs and modifications. It will prepare students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and critical thinking ability for proficiency within a hearing healthcare environment. After successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to write national/provincial examinations and to complete 1000 hours of supervised internship through the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners (AHIP).

Learn organizational Agility with practices such as Scrum. Establish goals for your project team and lead them to overcome obstacles to achieve success, meeting stakeholders needs. Earn project management education hours towards a variety of certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) designations. Geared to individuals interested in working in the dynamic spa industry in a variety of roles, the Esthetician program is offered as an Ontario College Diploma, providing theoretical and practical learning experiences in the areas of personal care, specialized beauty and body treatments, nail care, and customer service. The program includes integrated lab experiences plus a number of field placements which support the development of strong practical skills for specific procedures such as waxing, manicure, pedicure, facial treatments and other skin care procedures, with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained in class. You will learn the latest techniques from spa industry leaders in a state-of-the-art facility, as well as have placements in local spas that are guided and supervised by industry experts.

This Ontario College Advanced Diploma program provides you with the skills and knowledge required for all aspects of power generation and maintenance operation, both theoretical and practical, at the 4th and 3rd class levels. Power engineers operate and maintain the machinery and equipment that provides power, heat, refrigeration and other industrial services. This may include boilers, steam and gas turbines, generators, gas and diesel engines, pumps, condensers, compressors and pressure vessels in large facilities, buildings, industrial power and process plants and thermal electric generating stations. Highly experienced faculty and a state-of-the-art facility support active, hands-on learning providing you with the knowledge and skills required for a successful career in this field. With subjects of instruction that follow the Standardized Power Engineers Examination Committee (SOPECC) syllabus and an extensive number of work integrated learning hours, this program prepares you to challenge the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) examinations required for 4th and 3rd class certification as a power engineer. If you successfully pass the 4th class ticket exam before your second placement, this program provides you with the opportunity to count the work-integrated learning hours accumulated in the second part of the program towards your time reduction qualification for your 3rd class ticket.

Financial Technology
The field of financial technology is evolving as it responds to the challenges facing the 21st century financial sector. This means that professionals employed in the field must be equipped to support diverse client groups such as individuals and company-based financial institutions. If you have a background in the computer industry, finance or other related fields, and are ready to attain in-depth competencies to help consumers and businesses track, manage, and facilitate their finances, this Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will be of interest to you. Through a variety of projects, case studies and interactive learning opportunities, and using current and relevant resources to support the latest trends in financial technology, you will develop the skills needed to help individuals and businesses secure their finances. You will study topics such as applications, emerging market trends, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and management. The Supply Chain Management - Global program prepares students for careers in the fields of logistics, procurement, supply chain and operations. Through extensive practical learning activities, students enhance their knowledge of supply chain concepts applicable to a variety of sectors. Graduates will be well-prepared to support the management of job functions by examining the connections between strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and supply chain design, functions, processes and roles; determining the value-added and financial implications of supply chain decisions and design on business profitability, efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction; using risk mitigation tools and strategies; reviewing supply chain activities and transactions for compliance with relevant policies, standards, legal, regulatory and contractual obligations; collaborating with, and using leadership and communication skills to build strategic relationships with a diversity of stakeholders.

This program is designed to prepare students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to perform their role as occupational therapist assistants and physiotherapist assistants (OTAs and PTAs). OTAs and PTAs are primarily responsible for implementation of treatment plans to promote physical functioning or to enhance participation in activities of daily living for individuals with a wide range of health conditions. The program integrates classroom theory with hands-on practical skills learning in living lab settings. To enhance critical thinking, decision making and leadership skills, the program makes use of diverse learning opportunities such as small group case-based learning, simulation exercises, applied learning projects and e-learning. Exposure to clinical experiences across a variety of clinical settings is integrated into the curriculum to ensure students have an opportunity to apply skills in a supervised setting.
