The need for business analytics in today’s fast-paced world necessitates that employees possess the skills, technologies, and practices for continuous exploration and investigation of past business performance to gain insight into what happened and why. A well-trained business analyst will use the insights to help drive change and business planning within organizations. You will learn how to describe, interpret, and inform business decisions in specific areas of data-driven business. You will improve your data literacy skills and develop an analytic mindset that will help you make strategic decisions based on data. The Business Analytics Ontario College Graduate Certificate program focuses on two of the four types of analytics used in business - Descriptive Analytics and Diagnostics Analytics. Using these two types of analytics, you will practice summarizing data findings to communicate what is currently going on in business and help stakeholders see what contributed to the outcome of your findings.

Predictive Analytics

Today's secondary wood manufacturing sector strongly benefits from the use of computerized numerical control (CNC) equipment in areas such as architectural millwork, kitchen cabinets, and furniture components. If you have an interest in the woodworking industry and a desire to program and set-up CNC machines, this program is well-suited for you. 
This one-year Ontario College Certificate will provide you with the skills to apply CNC techniques to develop programs for various CNC equipment such as beam saws, nesting routers, point-to-point machining centers, drills and dovetail machines. Through active, hands-on learning you will gain practical knowledge of the equipment, as well as best practices used in CNC programming within a variety of industrial settings. Program work is completed in a 50,000 square foot state-of-the art facility using modern equipment.

Business - Marketing is a two-year diploma program designed for people seeking a high-level overview of the marketing industry. The program focuses on the fundamental principles of marketing and gives graduates hands-on skills to gain employment in the marketing industry.The program offers courses in advertising, graphic design, internet, research, sales, events and retail while developing teamwork, communication and general business skills. In addition, students participate in the design and presentation of marketing, advertising and event plans.Conestoga College is an Accredited Partner of the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA). This program is accredited by the CPSA Institute as providing all 35 hours of pre-requisite education toward the Certified Sales Associate designation, the first level of the Graduated Certification Framework. In this program, you will focus on trucking operations, logistics, and business principles. Some of the areas of focus include transportation communication, customer service, freight calculations, hours of service, e-logging legislation, geography, logistics business practices, and driving simulation. Your learning will ensure you are well-prepared for a career specifically in the transportation sector in Canada. Graduates are positioned to begin their AZ licensing with an affiliated 3rd party trainer if commercial driving is their career goal.
