Conestoga’s one-year graduate certificate in Motion Graphics provides you with a modern learning environment for creating seamless animated artwork and sequences, allowing you to pursue a career as a motion graphic designer, interactive media editor, post-production editor, or to integrate these elements into your current profession. Throughout the program, you will draw upon theory and techniques of the design, digital media, and animation worlds to conceptualize and create captivating 2D and 3D digital media for a variety of online and mobile applications. Courses are taught by faculty with direct industry experience and cover a broad range of applications such as advanced image capturing and editing techniques, typography, colour theory, green screen techniques, rendering, digital compositing, and post production. Courses also feature a mix of teaching and hands-on lab time, giving you the space to develop and perfect your skills using leading-edge content editing software. Designed to reflect the requirements and workflows found in industry, the program includes both individual and collaborative team-based projects, design iteration, the use of professional design briefs, and budget considerations. Throughout the program, you will develop a portfolio of original work that speaks to your unique strengths. To further support your transition to the workforce, the program facilitates a field placement where you will be given the opportunity to apply your skills on real projects.

The Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) – Financial Services degree program provides the opportunity to develop necessary planning competencies, professional skills, and required technical knowledge needed for a career in financial services. This four-year program, delivered at the honours level, offers a clear pathway to many successful and exciting career opportunities in banking, insurance, investment management, and estate and financial planning. You will learn through a combination of active learning approaches, which include group work, major individual case analyses, multiple projects requiring industry engagement, and meetings with industry professionals outside of the college. By the mid-point of this program, the faculty team ensures you will be ready to begin your preferred major – either in financial planning or property and casualty insurance. Whichever major you choose, you will encounter a blend of extensive technical analyses and opportunities to develop your professional ‘soft’ skills. You will apply and further refine your program-related skills and abilities through an 8-month, paid, full-time co-op work-term situated between third and fourth year. The program curriculum is aligned with the body of knowledge and course requirements (in whole or in part) for a number of professional licenses. As a successful graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) – Financial Services degree program, you will meet the pre-requisite conditions to challenge professional examinations and/or receive advanced standing into the following licenses/designations:

• Personal Financial Planner (PFP) granted by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI)
• Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) granted by Financial Planning Canada (FP Canada)
• FP Canada’s Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP)
• Additional licenses for insurance and securities

Through a combination of theoretical and practical instruction, the Mechanical Technician - CNC diploma will allow you to develop foundational machining and CNC skills, including CNC program development. You will also learn how to load programs and set machine tools with an emphasis on setting up CNC equipment for creating, editing and optimizing production. Understanding the various disciplines through this multi-step process will be key to your journey towards CNC mastery.

Global Business Management
The Global Business Management graduate program provides an internationally-focused body of knowledge and skills for individuals interested in extending their business understanding beyond the domestic environment. The curriculum emphasizes the skills and knowledge necessary to operate in different roles within international cultural, legal and political contexts. This broad-based program will explore the field of management both in theory and through practical applications considering different organizational lenses. Graduates will be eligible to apply for the FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) diploma, and the CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation (subject to one year of work experience).

Supply Chain Management - Global
The Supply Chain Management - Global program prepares students for careers in the fields of logistics, procurement, supply chain and operations. Through extensive practical learning activities, students enhance their knowledge of supply chain concepts applicable to a variety of sectors. Graduates will be well-prepared to support the management of job functions by examining the connections between strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and supply chain design, functions, processes and roles; determining the value-added and financial implications of supply chain decisions and design on business profitability, efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction; using risk mitigation tools and strategies; reviewing supply chain activities and transactions for compliance with relevant policies, standards, legal, regulatory and contractual obligations; collaborating with, and using leadership and communication skills to build strategic relationships with a diversity of stakeholders. Global Hospitality Management
The Global Hospitality Management graduate certificate program is open to international students with a background in hospitality. This program will complement an already earned diploma or degree in business, hospitality or a related field, and enable applicants to gain a work visa in Canada. Graduates of the Global Hospitality Management program will develop more management and operational ability specific to the hospitality industry and provide graduates with opportunities to obtain a supervisory or management level position in hospitality organizations. The program will focus on essential management and operational areas needed in hospitality organizations through an exploration of theory and practice in the field of management. Students will earn a TrainCan Food Safety Certificate, Smart Serve (responsible alcohol service) Certificate, and WHMIS as part of the core curriculum. The optional co-op stream includes one co-op work term instead of the Guided Career Management course.

Global Business Management

This integrated communication process relies on researching public behaviour and developing targeted strategies from a variety of disciplines into a cohesive plan. Strategy is followed by the writing and designing of professional digital, print and graphic communications tactics. Students will conduct research with an emphasis on analysis and assess the implications of public relations, marketing, advertising, social media, direct marketing and branding. The final semester includes an individual client-based capstone project that links learning with real-world application. The importance of business ethics; leadership; professional relationships and development; and professional societies in the broad communications field will be emphasized throughout the program.
