Conestoga’s Media Foundations program helps you build a broad media skill set for online and broadcast media giving you an opportunity to explore areas of creative industries and to find your passion. Media Foundations prepares you for further education in various Creative Industries programs, such as Broadcast Radio, Broadcasting-Television and Independent Production, Journalism, Advertising and Marketing Communications.

In just 30 weeks, graduates of the Data Processing and Reporting program are prepared to assume roles entering and organizing data in an office role. You will develop the skills and strategies required to interact with customers in a professional and appropriate manner in a diverse business environment. This Ontario College Certificate program prepares you to use various electronic data applications, while gaining hands-on experience to organize data, visually present data, develop basic data reports, validate accuracy of data and support digital marketing platforms. Through a variety of projects, case studies and interactive learning opportunities, you will develop the workplace interpersonal skills needed to support all phases of your career. A field placement is included; allowing you to translate theoretical knowledge from the classroom into applied practice in a workplace setting.

The Bachelor of Early Learning Program Development is a four-year, paid co-op degree program, delivered at the honours level, that will provide students with an applied understanding of developing early learning programs at the classroom and community levels. The program will prepare graduates for a number of progressive careers that support children, youth and families in the areas of curriculum implementation and co-ordination, program development and co-ordination, and social policy work. With a focus on preparing reflective professionals, the program will offer students opportunities to develop strong critical thinking and professional communication skills that will enable them to work successfully in an inter-professional team. Program design, implementation and evaluation will be considered within a framework of research-informed practice, population focus, and social inclusion. Throughout the program, students will experience authentic, situational learning opportunities that highlight the links between theory and practice in engaging and meaningful ways. Business - Marketing is a two-year diploma program designed for people seeking a high-level overview of the marketing industry. The program focuses on the fundamental principles of marketing and gives graduates hands-on skills to gain employment in the marketing industry.The program offers courses in advertising, graphic design, internet, research, sales, events and retail while developing teamwork, communication and general business skills. The program will ensure graduates have both the creative and visual acuity, and the knowledge of business strategy, that are necessary to create design solutions for current market needs. Conestoga’s Bachelor of Design is unique in Ontario for offering students a truly interprofessional perspective that blends visual design, entrepreneurship, and liberal studies courses with co-op opportunities, enhanced studio space, printing facilities and access to advanced technology, as well as state-of-the-art on-campus facilities. Limited enrolment and small class sizes ensure student access to faculty with professional experience in the fields of visual design and business development. As a comprehensive design program, students take courses in typography, visual design, colour theory, design studio, drawing and illustration, photography, interactive design, as well as entrepreneurship, branding, marketing, business management, writing and presentation skills, and group dynamics. The program employs a project-based learning approach that addresses design and entrepreneurship skills, as well as a variety of prescient issues including accessibility, sustainability, and corporate and social responsibility. Students engage in dynamic studio projects for both in-class and live clients.

Public relations is the management function of building mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and the public. In this highly interactive program, students will learn strategic and creative communication strategies to solve organizational problems or make the most of business opportunities with key publics. Students will apply creative writing and tactical execution developed with a foundation of business knowledge. A field placement opportunity is provided in the last semester to gain career experience before graduating.
