Overview
The International Food Business program is a unique opportunity for students who are interested in understanding the global food industry from the farm gate to the consumer's plate. This one-of-a-kind program at the Faculty of Agriculture in Truro, N.S., will award you two degrees within the standard four years of study: a Bachelor of Business Administration from Aeres University in the Netherlands and a Bachelor of Agriculture in International Food Business from Dalhousie.
What will I learn?
In year one, North American students will study at Dalhousie and European students will study at Aeres. Year two is offered in the Netherlands, where both groups of students will study and explore together. This continues in year three when both groups of students study at Dalhousie's Faculty of Agriculture at the Agricultural Campus in Truro, N.S. You complete year four at your home university.
Our innovative team and module-based program of study is built around the competencies you'll need to succeed as a business leader in the international food industry. During ten modules presented over the first three years of the four-year degree, you'll be introduced to a range of food business concepts, including global supply chain logistics and new product development.
In these modules, you'll be assigned a series of real business tasks that become progressively more involved. To help you successfully complete these tasks, you'll be assigned internationally experienced professors who will provide key theories, concepts, skills, and practices.

Students who wish to work in Canada require a work permit to do so. A student in Canada can work part-time during the course of his studies and full-time during holidays and semester breaks and post the completion of their course/program.

When you study Landscape Architecture at Dalhousie's Agricultural Campus in Truro, N.S., you'll learn scientific concepts and horticulture and design principles. WHY STUDY VETERINARY TECHNOLOGY AT DAL?
Make a difference in an animal's life
Do you want to become an integral part of a veterinary medical team? The Veterinary Technology program at our Agricultural Campus in Truro, N.S. will get you there. This program is accredited by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association so you’ll be prepared to work as a technician with practicing veterinarians, researchers and other professionals who work with animals in medical or scientific environments.
What will I learn?
In this two-year diploma program, you’ll take a variety of courses in animal medicine and nursing, clinical exercises and pathology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. To reflect the majority of employment opportunities in Atlantic Canada, the program is oriented mainly towards companion animals. However, you'll also learn about large animal practice, lab animals and alternative pet medicine.

Are you interested in physical activity, cardiac health and ergonomics? We’ve got you covered. Kinesiology is a multidisciplinary approach to the study of human movement and our program offers you a wide variety of classes taught by professors known for their research. Tailor your degree to your interests with the option to focus on a specific study stream — fitness and lifestyle, ergonomics, or coaching science — or pursue an all-around combination of classes.
What will I learn?
The courses you take will depend on your personal interests. You’ll gain a broad background in various subdisciplines of kinesiology, including anatomy, physiology, neurophysiology, biomechanics, movement control and psychology of performance. You’ll also be exposed to the foundational sciences such as biology, physics, psychology and mathematics.
