The Interactive Media Design program will professionally prepare students for an evolving job market in digital media design, development and production, providing comprehensive training in new media technologies with an emphasis on web application design, interactive rich media, and current technologies for developing usable, media-rich sites and applications. The curriculum will combine courses in design, coding, marketing and media management and incorporate industry-standard tools from companies such as Adobe, Maxon, etc., as well as open-source technologies for web application development.

This two-year diploma in accounting is designed to prepare graduates to work in an accounting environment at the entry or intermediate accounting level. This accounting diploma program starts with accounting fundamentals and then moves to detailed accounting principles and concepts, including computerized accounting. This one-year graduate certificate program is designed for university and college graduates seeking a career in the operations management sector. This program will be completed in two levels and be delivered using both face-to-face (web-facilitated) and blended methods.

The curriculum will focus on applied knowledge in the field of business operations within a global economy. It will include the planning and management of all operations involved in businesses of varying size and complexity (e.g., supply chain elements, purchasing, production and operations planning and control, transportation and distribution, project planning, quality assurance).

The Aviation Technician - Avionics Maintenance program is a Transport Canada approved program (TC-2011-08-4128) that provides the knowledge and skills required to start a career in aircraft avionics maintenance, which is responsible for servicing, repair and maintenance of aircraft electrical and electronics systems such as communication, navigation and data systems. This program covers all aspects of aircraft avionics systems used in general aviation, corporate, charter transport category aircraft and helicopters.

• Apply the current regulatory requirements to the safety and airworthiness of aircraft.
• Perform major and minor maintenance tasks on airframes and engines.
• Install and maintain aircraft electrical systems.

• Apply the principles and practices of aircraft maintenance engineer category “E” to all work situations.

The Plumbing Techniques program is an Ontario College Certificate program designed to prepare graduates for entrance into a plumbing career through the understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of the plumbing trade and the associated tools and materials. Students will participate in the practical application of fundamental plumbing activities in labs on site at the College in addition to the theory learned in a face-to-face web-enhanced environment. This is an entry level credential and students are not required or qualified to become members of a professional or regulatory body upon completion.

Fanshawe College's Law Clerk program is designed to provide students with a solid grounding in legal principles combined with the practical law clerk training that students will need to enter the diverse, fast-paced, modern field of law. As a graduate of the Law Clerk program you will work as part of a team in law firms, corporate legal departments, financial institutions, insurance companies, legal technology providers, title insurance companies, Federal, Provincial and Municipal Governments or in any other capacity where a legal environment exists. Depending upon your choice of career path, you could find yourself preparing motion records and trial documentation, interviewing witnesses, arranging trial dates and adjournments, drafting corporate/commercial documentation, completing Family Law Act financial statements, administering estates, negotiating leases, administering contracts, completing legal research, searching titles or processing real estate transactions. At Fanshawe College you will learn about many areas of Canadian law including civil litigation, corporate/commercial, debtor and creditor rights, real estate, landlord and tenant, estate administration, family law and contracts. You will refine your communication and information processing skills as you learn how to research, analyze and write in the legal environment. You will develop an ability to work with a variety of leading-edge legal software applications and online commercial legal databases and services.

The Customer Relationship Marketing and Sales Management program responds to the growing need within business for a skill set that places the customer at the centre of business decisions. This skill is critical since marketing and sales success depends on attracting new customers while retaining and strengthening relationships with current customers.  

This one-year post-graduate certificate program provides students with a foundation in marketing and sales, with a focus on the examination and application of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Customer Experience (CX) best practices, strategies, tactics, tools, and techniques. Students will have an opportunity to apply industry standard business and marketing analytics and use CRM platforms to enhance the marketing and sales process.  Student will also learn strategies and tactics for account development in the field of sales and sales management.

Construction Engineering Technology is a two-year diploma for students interested in overseeing the construction of residential, industrial and commercial projects. Students will learn to estimate project costs, develop a construction plan, schedule projects, and perform on-site inspections using the latest technology. Graduates will be prepared for their career by learning soft skills required to be an effective leader.

This three-year program provides students with a sound basic knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, and emphasizes the principles and performance of standard laboratory practices, procedures, and techniques for biological, chemical and physical analyses.

Co-operative Education
