A Community Pharmacy Assistant is one of the vital members of a pharmacy. Fanshawe's one-year Community Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to prepare graduates to achieve professional success in community pharmacies under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician.

The program blends theory with experiential learning. Students will learn concepts and problem solving strategies in the classroom that are later reinforced during lab components in Fanshawe's state-of-the-art pharmacy lab and a community placement. This program will ready graduates for jobs in growth areas of Applied Biotechnology such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, agriculture, bioremediation, the fermentation industry, research and development to name a few. The Developmental Services Worker two-year diploma program prepares its graduates to support people with developmental disabilities so that these individuals may participate fully in their communities. DSW have the specialized knowledge and skills required to work with people with developmental disabilities across the life span.
