Overview
This accounting co-op program will introduce you to accounting principles and concepts. You’ll learn to examine business from multiple angles and how to maximize your unique skill set. You’ll be taught by industry professionals how to balance the books in the manufacturing and merchandising sectors, banks, and other financial institutions. You’ll also learn how to analyze numbers in public accounting firms and federal, provincial, and municipal government offices by using cutting-edge accounting software.
Designed to prepare graduates to work in an accounting environment at the entry or intermediate accounting level, this accounting co-op program starts with accounting fundamentals and then moves to detailed accounting principles and concepts, including computerized accounting. When you graduate, you’ll have the skills required for success in a corporate accounting department in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, merchandising, banks and other financial institutions. You’ll also be prepared to work in public accounting firms and federal, provincial and municipal government offices. The paid co-op work term you’ll complete will provide you with valuable work experience as well.

Students who wish to work in Canada require a work permit to do so. A student in Canada can work part-time during the course of his studies and full-time during holidays and semester breaks and post the completion of their course/program.
You can also work part-time on campus at your university.
Duration
Your part-time work permit will be valid for as long as you have a valid study permit.

Bachelor of Environmental Design and Planning (Honours) (Co-op)
The Honours Bachelor of Environmental Design and Planning offers integrated learning based on the theory and practice of landscape architecture, planning and urban design. The use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for contextual analysis and evaluation and computer-aided design for visualization is emphasized and taught. The program has artistic and scientific appeal. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of environmental design and planning complemented by advanced technical design and communication skills. They use those skills and associated knowledge to creatively and effectively explore, analyze, conceptualize and present design and planning problems, opportunities, ideas and solutions. Sustainability is a principle for action - a comprehensive design and planning goal related to ecological, economic, socio-cultural and aesthetic dimensions of a place. It is advocated and upheld through applied project and community-based learning.
Academic projects, four work terms and a compulsory co-op placement give students the chance to apply their integrated learning and gain valuable practical experience. An academic exchange through a university in Curitiba, Brazil is available to senior students. Graduates are ready and able to work professionally in both the private and public sectors on contemporary design and planning projects requiring interdisciplinary solutions. Alternatively, an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Design and Planning Degree qualifies students for graduate studies in allied fields such as architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, planning, geographic information systems/science and geodesign.
Co-operative Education

Advanced Diploma in Respiratory Therapy
This three-year, advanced diploma program follows a curriculum approved by the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO), the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CRST) and the National Alliance of Respiratory Therapy Regulatory Bodies (NARTRB), and is accredited nationally through Accreditation Canada. Graduate Certificate in Network and Security Architecture (co-op)
The Network and Security Architecture Graduate Certificate program will cover the key aspects of designing, deploying, supporting, and securing small, medium, and enterprise network and server infrastructures. It will cover the fundamentals of advanced networking and security concepts to work in almost any situation and meet the security challenges that are presented.
Co-operative Education
In order to be eligible for co-op, students must achieve and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and be academically complete at the commencement of their co-op work term (Fall intake; completed all courses and Winter intake; completed all first semester courses) prior to the commencement of their co-op work term. The co-op work term will always be the summer semester regardless of whether the student is in the Fall or Winter intake.
Students who do not achieve a 2.5 GPA or above will not be eligible for co-op and if for any other reason they do not obtain a co-op placement they can still graduate provided they achieve a 2.0 GPA or above but will not receive the Co-op Endorsed Certificate. Diploma in Interior Decorating
Interior Decorating is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a career in one of the many segments of the residential interior decorating field. Students will study the fundamentals of interior decorating, including space planning, colour theory, material selection, kitchen and bath design and visual merchandising. Students will build interpersonal, communication, sales, business and marketing skills. Drawing, presentation and drafting techniques (both manual and computer-aided) will be developed.
