This program is intended for students who have a solid foundation in DSLR operation and want to develop their unique creativity to a professional standard in order to be competitive in the field of photography and its related industries. Students will explore a chosen photographic discipline where projects will be based on their choice of specialization and result in a professional portfolio that aligns with their personal career goals. Furthermore, students will gain entrepreneurial experience such as marketing and job pricing, by working with real clients as they operate an on-campus creative service centre that will provide photography and video production to the local community. Throughout the year students will have field trips to meet with professionals in the industry and visit trade shows and conferences to research new products and future trends in the ever changing field of photography.

Are you interested in an exciting career in Event Planning? Planning a big or small event requires extensive planning from choosing the venue, reviewing contracts, to the finer details of guest lists, decor, marketing and sponsorship.

Special Events Planning is a two-year diploma program designed for individuals interested in a career in event management. Designed by industry professionals, students will be exposed to the vast types of special events, from social events, corporate meetings, festivals, conventions and large sporting events. Students will develop essential event management skills such as planning, assessment, communication, critical thinking.

The Aviation Technology Aircraft Maintenance and Avionics (Co-op) Advanced Diploma is a Transport Canada approved program (TC-2018-02-4248) that provides students with the knowledge and skills required to start a career in aircraft maintenance and/or  avionics maintenance. This program will cover all aspects of aircraft maintenance including systems used in general aviation, corporate, and charter transport category aircraft as well as helicopters. The program will also include avionics training for service, repair, and maintenance of aircraft electrical and electronic systems such as communication, navigation, and data systems.

Learning Outcomes
The graduate has reliably demonstrated the ability to

  • Service, test, troubleshoot and repair aircraft and systems on large or small, fixed or rotary wing aircraft in accordance with manufacturers' specified instructions, accepted aviation techniques/practices and the requirements of the Canadian aviation regulations.
  • Evaluate fixed wing and rotary aircraft structures and complete maintenance, assembly, fabrication, and structural repair work on large and small aircrafts in accordance with technical manuals, standard practices, and standards of performance and safety.

Co-operative Education
In order to be eligible for co-op, students must maintain a 2.0 GPA and be academically complete at the commencement of their co-op work term.

The Music Industry Arts program is a creative and practical environment that allows students to discover and develop the artistic, technical and business skills that will prepare them to compete in today's evolving music and entertainment industry.

The program approach is intensively hands-on, with professional recording, performance and lab facilities exclusively dedicated to student use.  Course content is wide and equally balanced between artist development and technical skills which accentuates experiential learning within the program.
