This pathway program is designed to prepare you for admission to college programs in health sciences, biological or chemical sciences, while you learn about possible careers in these fields. The program provides the knowledge and skills in communication, mathematics, human anatomy, biology and chemistry needed to be successful in related college programs. Fleming College has reserved space in the above-noted programs for qualified graduates of this program. For consideration in this category, graduates must have achieved an average of 70% or higher over the duration of the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway program. If there are more applications from graduates with 70% or higher than reserved seats available, a selection process based on an average of overall marks will take place.
While taking the Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas program you will explore program options. Throughout the Pre-Health Sciences program, you will learn in a supportive environment and gain hands-on experience in our chemistry and biology labs. Students who wish to work in Canada require a work permit to do so. A student in Canada can work part-time during the course of his studies and full-time during holidays and semester breaks and post the completion of their course/program.

The program is divided into three terms.
Students are required to attend 80% of all classes in order to write their TSSA Gas and Oil exams.
Gas and Oil Technician –Level 3 (OBT-3 and G-3) deals with workplace safety, tools, characteristics of natural gas and oil, codes/regulations, basic electricity, technical specifications, customer relations, basic piping systems, and an introduction to gas and oil appliances.
Gas and Oil Technician –Level 2 (OBT-2 and G-2) focuses on advanced piping/tubing systems, electricity, controls, systems, appliances, gas meters, pressure regulators, gas and oil -fired refrigerators, conversion burners, water heaters, forced warm air heating systems, hydronic heating systems, space heating, venting practices, forced air add-on devices, and air handling.

ENTRY TO UNIVERSITY
Trent University Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
This program was developed in collaboration with Trent University. As a result, Trent University will grant a total of five first year credits (in English, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, plus one unassigned credit) to graduates of this program who achieve an overall average of 70%, and no individual grade of less than 65% in their Literature, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Composition and Critical Analysis courses. Successful program graduates will have obtained the credits required for first year of Trent's Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. (Other Trent degree programs also recognize these Fleming courses for advanced standing.)
Trent University Indigenous Bachelor of Education
To be eligible, applicants are required to self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit, and must also have achieved a 75% cumulative average in the University Transfer program. Successful applicants will be awarded five credits out of the 25 credit degree.
Carleton University Bachelor of Arts
At Carleton University, program graduates with an overall average of 70% or higher may be granted up to five full transfer credits, equivalent to first year towards the Bachelor of Arts degree.
A growing number of other universities recognize the program for significant credit towards their degrees.
