Students are provided with the knowledge, skills and experience to succeed within the sport industry. The fundamentals of business administration are introduced through courses in accounting, marketing, technology, research, and entrepreneurship. Operations in sport organizations are explored through curriculum in fundraising, sponsorship, program planning, leagues, tournament organizing and scheduling, fitness, outdoor recreation and facilities. In addition to the theoretical components of the program, practical experience is obtained through community leadership opportunities and field placements.

For students interested in managing people or processes, Georgian''s two-year Business program provides a solid foundation in the basics of business. Studies in economics, accounting, marketing, and human resources lay the foundation for a good start. Individual courses provide the student with the fundamental knowledge and skills required to get to work. This program can launch a career or can be a spring-board into further studies.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) computing paradigm radically changes the functionality and capabilities of computer systems. This greatly increases the possibilities of what businesses can do with this exciting new technology and is causing disruption across all industry sectors. Artificial Intelligence systems can think, learn and take self-directed action in order to maximize the chance of successfully achieving a goal without having to be explicitly programmed or human intervention.

This program provides students with the necessary background to become Artificial Intelligence (AI) system designers, programmers, implementers, or machine learning analysts. With a strong focus on applied skills, students learn how to design and implement supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning solutions for a variety of situations and solve AI challenges for a diverse set of industries. 

Advanced study in AI infrastructure, architecture, machine learning frameworks, reinforcement learning, neural networks, vision system, conversational AI and deep learning help students understand how to select, configure and apply the right technology tools to build the correct AI solution to solve a given challenge.

In this program, students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professionalism necessary to conduct applied research in sectors such as marketing, tourism, media, government, public affairs, education, health, non-profit and social service agencies. Students are provided with hands-on experience and focus on the entire research process. Students formulate research questions, develop research designs, collect information from primary and secondary sources, perform data analysis, interpret results, communicate findings, and develop strategic recommendations. Additional features of the program include an emphasis on traditional and emerging qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the use of technology, effective communication processes, and adherence to professional and ethical standards.

Work-integrated learning 
This program includes a co-op work term component where you will gain practical, on-the-job experience in your field.

Managing a successful event of any size requires extensive know-how and planning. In Georgian's Event Management program, students gain the skills and experience to prepare them for an exciting career in a fast-paced industry that relies on client satisfaction. The curriculum, designed by industry professionals,enables students to explore current trends and technologies that drive the industry. Students have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience planning, marketing, executing and evaluating events. By the end of the program, they are equipped with the knowledge, skill, and practical experience to find employment in the event industry.

In this program students acquire an understanding of the general principles of law, and gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience in ethics and a small business practice. Taking the program prepares students to apply to become a licensed paralegal in accordance with the requirements of the Law Society Act. A licensed paralegal may be self–employed, offering fee for service legal assistance, without the supervision of a lawyer, or may be a salaried employee in various legal environments.

This one-year post-graduate diploma program is directed towards students wishing to pursue goldsmithing or silversmithing as a self-directed career.

Students will refine their jewellery and metalworking skills, develop their design abilities and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to design, produce and market jewellery, flatware and hollowware. Students specialize in either goldsmithing or silversmithing. Within their area of specialization, students choose a number of advanced techniques to concentrate on, and develop the in-depth knowledge and skills that would allow them to work independently or as designers.

• Goldsmith - A goldsmith is one who would design, as well as produce, jewelry as an employee or in one's own studio.
• Silversmith - A silversmith is one who would design, as well as produce, hollowware and flatware items as an employee or in one's own studio.

Program Learning Outcomes
The graduate has reliably demonstrated the ability to:

• Design, develop and produce a portfolio of personal work (jewellery and metalwork) and a skills inventory;
• Be adaptable in applying various technical skills and aesthetic development to a wide variety of jobs in the jewellery and fine metals field;
• Respond to style and marketing trends in the industry;
• Plan and execute marketing and sales strategies;
• Design and fabricate products that would produce sales and marketing opportunities in wholesale and/or retail venues, such as Kempenfest, Muskoka Arts & Crafts, galleries and custom work;
• Recognize and identify materials as to their suitability for gem materials;
• Cut and polish various shapes of cabochon and faceted stones;
• Use advanced gem cutting and polishing techniques, including channel inlay and carving, and incorporate finished products into jewellery and hollowware;
• Understand the history and tradition of vessels and other regalia used in various religious rituals and domestic occasions;
• Use technical skills and dexterity in a variety of advanced metal working techniques as listed in the course descriptions, including reactive metal techniques, lathe work and machining, knifemaking and toolmaking;
• Apply their skill to the production aspects of the industry;
• Seek employment with an existing manufacturing or embark on a self-employment career such as a production studio;
• Work in design, production and/or retailing within the industry;
• Employ environmentally sustainable practices within the profession.

In this program, students develop and foster advanced creative and artistic ability in a variety of studio areas. Through practical and theortical mechanisms, students are challenged to achieve their individual goals and objectives as artists within a variety of traditional and non-traditional media. Students investigate critical perspectives, synthesize advanced skills and apply advanced evaluative techniques. Students gain professional and entrepreneurial skills for professional practice and self-employment, necessary to successfully operate within the various professions of fine art.
