Graduates of the program carry out human resources functions within the domestic and international business environments. Graduates are prepared to implement and evaluate plans for staffing, performance management, training, employee and labour relations, health and safety, and benefits and compensation administration functions. They are also able to apply communication, information technology, teamwork, leadership and organizational development strategies to support the human resources activities of an organization. They are able to contribute to a number of more complex functions supporting organizational effectiveness, including applying principles of financial analysis and control, collaborating in the design of an organization''s human resources plan, and in the preparation of an organization''s business plan.

Students are prepared for a career as a lab technician in a biomedical field. Experimental techniques and use of scientific equipment across a variety of disciplines including biology, chemistry and physics will form the basis of the program. Both the theoretical and practical aspects of this discipline are equally emphasized. Upon graduation, students will be able to perform a wide array of experiments and assays to answer clinically-related and scientific problems.

This program is designed to assist Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) in developing themselves further as a nurse practicing in acute complex care and prepare them with the clinical skills to work in an acute complex care setting in Ontario. Emphasis is placed on the application and evaluation of advanced theories and practice in acute primary care, and guidance of others as part of the health care team. Students gain advanced theoretical and experiential knowledge in pharmacology, health assessment and emergency nursing through classroom instruction, simulation labs and practicum placements.

Environmental Technician students are trained as entry-level practitioners in the use of environmental sampling, monitoring and testing equipment and information technology tools and will be familiar with standard operating procedures for conducting environmental projects. Students are provided with applied knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislative requirements, environmental management systems, and the basic principles of ecosystem-based management for sustainability.

Be career-ready in just 20 months, with four months of paid work experience. Hands-on lab/field experience plus theory. MECP water curriculum included.

Students in this program prepare for success in the rapidly evolving and growing industry of civil engineering. Students are exposed to the construction of roads, bridges, sewers, water mains, and other infrastructure; are introduced to cost estimation; and experience field work, material testing, and project management. The application of codes and standards, site management techniques, and related computer technologies to integrated work placements prepares students to work with engineers, designers, and construction project managers as an integral part of the engineering team.

This program prepares graduates to work collaboratively with registered pharmacists and the interprofessional health care team within their scope of practice. Students will learn dispensing and compounding skills using knowledge from labs and supervised clinical practice. Courses focus on professionalism, relevant legislations, pathophysiology, and pharmacology, customer care, software systems, and principles of quality assurance. Students will utilize current technologies for an understanding of inventory control and customer service to accurately prepare and dispense medication. Guiding principles of safe medication practice; including aseptic technique, accurate calculations and labelling, use of current, credible sources of information are emphasized in lectures, simulated labs and community and institutional placements.

The complexity of industry's labour and entrepreneurial needs requires managers who can work with in a variety of settings and in cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams. This program fills that need by providing project management training to candidates who require project management skills to ensure new ventures have potential for successful delivery. The program covers technical, leadership, business, and strategic management subjects with an emphasis on understanding and managing change as applied to project management.

Students train on the theoretical and practical skills required to obtain the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) Gas Technician 3 (G.3) and Gas Technician 2 (G.2) certifications. Students study workplace safety, tools, characteristics of natural gas, codes/regulations, basic electricity, technical specifications, customer relations, basic piping systems, and an introduction to gas appliances. Further on, students study advanced piping/tubing systems, electricity, controls, systems, appliances, gas meters, pressure regulators, gas-fired refrigerators, conversion burners, water heaters, forced warm air heating systems, hydronic heating systems, space heating, venting practices, forced air add-on devices, and air handling.

This program is intended for students who wish to develop a strong educational and experiential base in business. Students acquire skills in acquisitions analysis, market research, selling, networking, financial analysis and planning, various computer applications and systems, social entrepreneurship development, human resource planning and management. Students also develop skills to integrate the whole area of business principles and practices in order to successfully operate and manage a business.

This program is particularly appropriate for students whose goal is to enter a family business, start their own business, or enter employment in a small business. One of the key experiential outcomes is the research, development and presentation of a complete business plan for a new enterprise.

This program specializes in creating interior environments in the context of professional interior design standards and practice. The curriculum emphasizes space planning and management, design process, research methodologies, socially responsible design, building systems, technological applications, contract documentation, and interior design presentation. Sustainable practices, entrepreneurship models, and regulatory codes are integrated throughout the curriculum. The curriculum is designed to meet current Council for Interior Design Accreditation's (CIDA) standards of delivery and content. Our program offers a uniquely collaborative learning experience which facilitates a hands-on model incorporating creative development, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and teaming protocols, providing our graduates with exceptional interior design knowledge and skills.
